Though we are in a great position to make the playoffs it certainly has been an emotional ride as a fan.If its not sitting on a lead and watching it evaporate its the horrendus start to
games that make it excrutiating to watch.Without Jose Theodore this team is not even close.MVP there really is no contest but he won;t even get a sniff of the award which is too bad.With eleven games left you'd think this team would be hungrier even if we do make it in, the mental preparation of this team will have to be altered significantly. You hate to say it but the coaching staff has to take alot of the heat even though they don't play the games.Isn't it ironic that the Habs out shoot soneone by a large margin with Theodore on the bench,you'd think they might figure it out and give him some support,they maybe surprised how successful they can be.
Another question are we not the worst team when taking faceoffs in our zone,pass Go collect$200 and score a goal.
Why is Patrick Traverse playing? Just a couple of thoughts. Still stewing about last night.

We have about 10 players who give a damn on this team.Theodore, Gilmour, Zed, Petrov, Juneau, Dackell, Hossa, Markov, Van Allen seem to be the only guys who you know what to expect from them.Unfortunately, Hossa was supposed to be a healthy scratch last night by MT(played because of Juneau's injury)...he played a solid game...got some nice chances, Markov doesn't play the minutes he should play even though he is our only d right now who can create offence.


Other guys are completely unpredictable.Brisebois is playing terribly right now, same thing for whoever is our 6th d-man.Dykhuis, Berezin, Perreault, Kilger, Quintal are so inconsistent, it's maddening.

Saturday night was a simple reminder that if Theo wasn't there to stand on his head and produce miraculous performances to carry the team we'd be a last place team plain and simple.  Though it would be way less exciting then competing for a playoff spot, it would be more representative of where the team really stands.

Still, I'm happy we can still hang on.
