This version of the Hab's must be dense in the head. They have a chance to finish the job but sem to want to do it the hard way. We are worried about the Rangers and I see the Caps in the passing lane. We REALLY need Audi and Koivu now. Dump this freaken Robidas experiments, bring up Hainsey.

This team is in serious trouble. You wouldn't think it, looking at the standings, and our 3 point lead, but it is. If we have to go into that "sour six" needing 3, or even 4 or 5 wins, then I think we are screwed. There is potential to lose 5 out of those last 6 games, and if last night is any indication, Columbus could pose a problem for us too.

We needed the cushion of this 9 game stretch. In my opinion, we have to win at least 3 of the next 4, preferably all 4. 2 wins and a tie just ain't going to cut it.

I believe that a team fighting to make the playoffs can beat any team that clinched in january.  flyers, senators whatever.  Its a different feeling going on the ice knowing you must win as opposed to would like to win.  The habs will be in must win and will be playing true playoff hockey.  They seem to be resting on their slim lead, like they need the pressure of being tied or down a point to bring out their A game.

As we all know that can backfire.  But if nashville can beat us 5-1 we can beat the flyers without roenick and primeau.

But how often have you seen a team that's relaxed, with nothing at stake, beat a team that's got everything on the line.  This version of the Habs is hard to understand.  Sometimes they come back from adversity as they did against Tampa and at other times,(last night), they fall apart.  It's still going to boil down to whether Theo can carry us in or not.  Unfortunately, 1 goal a game for is not going to cut it.  So, it's up to Theo, and the ineptitude of the teams chasing us.  We don't have the talent or the coaching to do it ourselves.  Even if we do, it's 4 straight in the 1st round.  More money for George, but that's about it.

Theodore will have to come up huge and we need the Rangers, Sabres and Caps to eliminate themselves.

Don't count on all three of those teams complying.  I expect one of them to make a real push, and my money would be on the Caps.  If they win tonight, the Habs will feel their breath.  You just can't squander opportunities like last night more than once or twice in a 10 game race to the finish.  Twice is probably too much.  We just notched number one.  They need a really sound performance against les panteros to convince me they have it in them.  And all I'm really talking about is a dominant performance against a team that's got it in them to get the first pick overall.  Les Gars need a game where they out skate, out hit and out shoot the opposition by a fair bit.  They need to let Theo play at least 20 minutes with a two or three goal lead.
