Stephane Lebeau is second in career scoring with 580 points and has a Stanley Cup ringNEIL HODGE Times & Transcript Staff Victoriaville Tigres head coach Stephan Lebeau is having flashbacks to his playing days in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. "It brings back some great memories, but things have changed so much since my time in junior," he said. "There used to be 10 teams in the league and they were all in Quebec. Our longest trip was four hours on the bus to Chicoutimi. "Now, there's 16 teams and it will be 18 next season when Saint John and St. John's come into the league. The league has moved into the Maritimes and Maine so there's a lot more travel than when I played. It's also a lot more organized now than it was during my time in junior." Lebeau played four seasons for the Shawinigan Cataractes in the 1980s and he's second in QMJHL career scoring with 580 points in 270 games. Patrice Lefebvre, also of Shawinigan, is the leader with 595 points in 276 games. - tinyurl.com/5gxf5
