That makes no sense at all. unless thethe Sen's were planning a 2 or 3 for 1. Big deal in the making?

The Deal IS official...Greg Millen said it on CBC.
I think this means Arvedson will be traded...maybe with another player to Dallas for Nieuwendyk.That's the only reason why IMO.

Sens acquired Brunet because their defensive specialist (Fisher) has been injured. His salary is almost all paid for and he has no contract to carry past this year.
Also you never know what a vet like Brunet could bring you come playoff time.
Good move by the Sens IMO.
