What happened last night is a disgrace to the NHL. The officiating in this league is just getting worse and worse. This whole deal of refs 'not calling penalties cause we don't wanna determine the outcome of the game' is unacceptable and last night BECAUSE of that mentality we lost the game. I'm willing to accept that maybe the goal should have been disallowed, but we just got a 1-2 punch from the 2 officials at the last minute of play. 1st 1 ref doesn't call a blatant crosscheck to the head of Berezin by Fleury (who seemed to actually scare NHL officials with his retirement rant to the point where no one is calling any penalties on him) and then that other fat f*ck can't move away in time which causes the puck to hit his skate and go right to the front of the net on McCarthy's stick...how about that? I dunno man, after hearing Mcguire I'm starting to think that maybe something IS going on behind the scenes in the NHL. Fleury is one dirty player and he's starting to make me sick...I can't wait 'till he's outta this league and if he gets traded, which is the roumor, I pray to god he's sent to the west where we won't have to see him anymore. I am so pissed off. It's 1 thing to expect the calls to go to the home team when you're on the road, it's a completly different story when the refs start making plays on the ice.

I'm not going to defend the officiating last night. I don't like debates over officiating, and conspiracy theories, they're counter-productive.
But all officiating aside, did the Habs play well enough to win that game?
Nope, Theo would have stolen those two points. The big picture is we've been playing like crap for a month and that's gotta change before we can start blaming other factors.

I'm not saying that we played well last night untill the 3rd period or say we didn't play like crap for a month cause we did. This isn't the 1st time calls didn't go our way and in the passed I accepted it cause it happens to every team and there's no use b*tching. About all that, you're right. But when you can call that play in the form of '...pass goes behing the net, Mcgoo passes the puck to McCarthy infront of the net, SHOT! SCORES!!!!!!' that's pretty freakin' rediculous. Last I checked Mr. Mcgoo was not on the Ranger's roster. Of course a crosscheck to the head should have been calledabout 7 seconds before that play ever happened but I'll put that call in the same category of 'calls missed that happen to every team any given night...that last play though was way outta line, I'm sorry.

I only blame the refs on the last goal.The Fleury crosscheck was A JOKE and Mcgoo showed he is nothing more than a fat a$$ when he deflected that puck.Aside from that, you can't complain.
As Ryan said, no one in hell we can say 'we deserved to win'.Hell, this should have been a blowout for the Rangers.
