TSN is reporting former Hab Bryan Fogarty was found dead in a Florida apartment early this morning. An autopsy is being done but the cause of death is not know at this point.
What a shame. This guy was once one of the top juniors in all of hockey. He broke several Bobby Orr records in his last year of junior. Then he got into drugs and the last I heard of him before today was a few years back when he was found bakenaked breaking into somebody's apartment.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Can you believe this guy was drafted ahead of Joe Sakic?

My brother heard it was suicide. Wouldn't be surprised. He just couldn't beat the bottle. What a shame...

God Bless all the souls that have left us recently.
I don't like getting caught up in "high profile" deaths. I suppose we feel we know them a little more than the average person we hear about.
Brian's death is sad, but pray every day for the souls that enter into eternity unoticed and forgotten.

My brother heard it was suicide. Wouldn't be surprised. He just couldn't beat the bottle. What a shame... Sounds like it could be suicide. With his troubled life and all. The thing about Fogarty I remember from his Habs playing days was I thought Serge Savard had pulled one out of the hat. He was obviously not in game shape but you could see the talent. He quarterbacked a good powerplay with a hard shot. The talent was there, I said he will put on the CH and turn his life around and be a star. I remember a game against the Nordiques where he was one of the best Habs on the ice However, by the start of the next season he was gone. Obviously, there was more going on behind the scene then fans heard about.
