Just heard him on CKAC and he said he would consider Montreal if we were to offer him a deal during the summer.OK,this is probably more politics and saying the right words in front of the media more than anything, but he mentionned the great history of our franchise and certainly hasn't ruled us out.
But,he did say he would consider all his options.

When talking about the HABS to the Montreal media, wise players will always slip in words like "Storied Franchise", "Great History", "Team of Prestige" as they know we love that stuff. We've been used over and over as the bid riser and Guerin's agent must be proud of his client. I don't believe a single minute this guy would chose Montreal over Detroit, Philly, New York, Dallas, San Jose, St-Louis, etc...

I can't believe Guerin would come here. There's just no connection or logic there.
If any big name is to wind up in Habs' colours I would put my money on Selanne. He's got the Koivu connection, we have the need for him, and he's not an elite superstar anymore, so we shouldn't be fighting as many teams for him.
Sad to say, but the only way we'll see a bonafide superstar in Montreal again is if we draft him.
