I aven't been this seething mad in a long time, have to calm down a bit before i can even attempt to submit a post game.I know coaches don't like to use time outts but therrien never ever takes one.tonight would have been a time to try and get these guys to regroup they got pounded all night at least attempt to give these guys a wake up call.for a desperate team knowing the rangers had won this is another brutal loss. I'd like to see Savard give Therrien a time out.

Not calling a time out just shows how pathetic MT is. I don't think anyone watching that game actually expected the Boys to score time out or not. Fact is they were not ready to play. Not only were we outplayed throughout the game. Our powerplay was an embarassment. All the coaching decisions in the world were not going to change these bad hockey players into good ones last night. I suppose one can blame the coach for not getting the players ready but at this time of year you would hope they could do it on their own.
Speaking of bad players:
Berezin is turning into a Rosie awful fast. I'm very worried now.
Traverse is probably the worst dman in the league. He has no assets. Can't hit, no offense, often out of position, is slow, and can't clear the zone. Can anyone tell me what he brings to the table?
Rivet is horrible. He was suppose to blossom into a great all around dman but I can only hope that this is an off season. He doesn't have a clue in our zone, and has little offensive talent.
The other dmen were all bad last night as they simply could not clear the zone and what the heck happenned on that last goal? two minutes to go in the game ,face off in your own zone and no one covers the winger in front of the net. WHAT?
The reason we saw Traverse and Q out at the end was because MT was frustrated with our other dmen. Brisebois was horrible moving the powerplay including getting an icing on a shoot in. But offensively I would rather have Brise on one leg than Traverse and Q as they are. And Markov played well but God forgive he get some quality ice time.
Fact is this team has done it all on goaltending and when theo gave up the easy 3rd one it was lights out. Based on what i saw last night I don't think this team is playoff bound because of a bad coach and no talent.

AS better do some explaining. Some of his pickups look terrible(Traverse,Quintal,Perreault,Berezin,Dackell,Odjick).I hope he stops going after other team's veteran garbage and tries to find some quality young players who haven't busted out instead.
As for the Timeout fiasco,I meant a timeout AFTER the Hurricanes tied it.Settle the team down.
On the O'Neill goal,Francis made Perreault look like sh*t and Van Allen totally forgot to cover O'Neill.

Is O'Neil Van Allen's man or is he to be covered by the Dman who I believe was Dyhuise?

Is O'Neil Van Allen's man or is he to be covered by the Dman who I believe was Dyhuise? From what I saw of the play, O'Neill was Dykhuis' man. Unfortunately, when the puck was dropped it sort of squirted behind the two centers and Dykhuis thought he had a chance to poke it into the corner. Ron Francis managed to get around his check (I forget who it was) who didn't tie him up properly and flipped it to the now uncovered O'Neill. Van Allen (was it him? I'm getting my players all mixed up now) played it right by breaking towards the point, to cover the defenceman should Francis have won the draw and pulled it back there for the one-timer. So I guess you could say there were two breakdowns on the play. The center who didn't tie up Francis, and Dykhuis who broke for the puck. Mind you, if Dykhuis doesn't break for the puck and stays with O'neill, then Francis simply walks in all alone on Theodore. So I guess if we are going to assign blame, it would fall on the center's shoulders. If that is the case, then I guess we shouldn't be all that upset, as the wily veteran Francis is one of the better faceoff men in the league. It was just one of those plays that result in a goal.

Van Allen and Perreault were on the ice.MT probably figured you need 2 centers on the ice late in the game in case one gets tossed.
Perreault lost the draw and Francis did it like he was playing against a 9 year old and he flipped to O'Neill who was left all along by both Dykhuis and Van Allen.
