Hey everybody, Just got in and saw the score. Pitiful. I had heard that at one point they were up 3-1. Sad. A good lead on a playoff rival and to give up 3 and lose..I just don't know what to say.
So from reading this and other boards, I can plainly see many, if not all people believe that a large part of the problem with this team is the head coach. Since I don't have a large enough body of hockey knowledge, I'd like to hear everyone's ideas on who a good replacement might be that is currently available. That means you don't get to say Scotty Bowman or, god forbid, Pat Quinn.
What coach out there would be able to adapt to this team's strengths and get the most out of what the boys can do?
So lets hear it, off the top of my head, I can only really think of a few head coaches currently looking for work. Pat Burns, Ted Nolan, Alain Vigneault. If the Devils can bring back Larry Robinson 10 games after firing him, we can bring back AV after a year.
Here's a chance for all you aspiring novelists. I'd like to know your picks and your reasoning.
Later, Roggy

How about the Television Star of Sesame Street, Mr. Robinsons Neighborhood and Hockey Night in Canada. The one and only BIG Bird, number 19, your favorite and mine, Larry Robinson. He did a good job in LA with a bunch of no talent pluggers (sounds like the Habs) and won the brass ring in New Jersey with a blue collar team. He has experience, speaks French, is a winner, well respected, works well with players, is kind to little children, loves apple pie and motherhood. If he was demoted he should be available for a head coaching position.

I wouldn't expect a change in the coaching department unless Andre Savard has a drastic change of opinion. He just signed Therrien to a long-term contract. So, it looks like it is going to be Therrein for awhile yet.
With Robinson no longer unemployed this lessen the chance of a coaching change. As long as the Habs stay around .500 with all the injuries, expect no change

Actually,Therrien was only extended for next year. And I am sure his salary is something like 500K and not 2 million.
A replacement?? a coach,who won't play the friggin trap.

Danielle Sauvageau. She's gotta dress better than Therrien. And I believe she understands the term "Time-out".
