There is something wrong with the universe these days. Hab's fans are defending CuJo... I enjoyed the Usa/Russian game and watched it twice.... Practically no Hab's are on the Olympic Team.............. I am trying to remember when was the last time I saw a game that good and I trying to trick myself that I watch the Hab's do this all the time. But it ain't working. Is it possible that this game was the best game in decades? Would that be some admission of age? Denial? Sleep disorder? Well my fellow Hab's Fan'atics, what we saw last night and what we see on a daily bases in the NHL now do not resemble each other at all. There is a very simple explanation for it all. Money. The NHL has expanded in order to bring in as much revenue as possible to it's "owners". First, the old owner get huge chunks of money of the "new" owners and the new owner try to fleece the fans for whatever they can get. The old owners and the new owners try to sell more and more watered down product with NO regard to the game. They define the game as "their" product, to be sold for public consumtion at a defined rate that yields them the most profit. I can sit here and rail until this post gets long enough to reach Hell, or at least the ACC but to what avail. My point? WE SAW HOCKEY AS IT SHOULD BE. PERIOD.

yes, we should go back to six teams. unfortunately montreal wouldn't be one of the six anymore with their poor revenues. no seriously though, i was thinking it was one of the best games i've ever seen also. but i was beginning to wonder if it was really that great a game, or was it because we don't see wide open hockey anymore?
the speed and skill that both teams showed was amazing!
Why couldn't canada look like that? Big game today, if they don't win by at least 3+ goals they're in trouble.
Brodeur needs to get a shutout too, to leave no doubt who should be in the net, a french goalie!

Are you kidding me? The hitting, skating, shooting and passing reminded me of the Hab's of the mid 70's and the Oilers. I am thinking new years eve game here. If it was the Canadien team that played like that, we would all be singing, dancing and having increadable $ X. At least I would be. ;D

yes, we should go back to six teams. NO!!!!! That would take hockey away from where I live. I wouldn't have Sharks games to go to. I would shrivel up and die if I didn't have live games too. You can only go back to 6 teams if you leave the Sharks here and the Leafs in Toronto, and of course the Habs in Montreal.

I enjoyed the Usa/Russian game and watched it twice.... WE SAW HOCKEY AS IT SHOULD BE. PERIOD. Yeah it was a pretty good game wasn't it. Good old North American Hockey!! ;D I didn't enjoy Team Canada's below par performance against Germany, but Germany plays a more North American type of Hockey, so I enjoyed that game from that standpoint too. I've been watching anywhere from 4 to 6 hours of hockey every day there is a game. That includes both Men's and Women's Hockey. I can hardly wait for Women's Team Canada and Women's Team USA to meet in the Gold Round. I love to watch our two women's teams play against each other. Even though I've watched all the hockey, some of it was sort of boring because it was too European. I prefer our style of play and when the games get too European they aren't interesting. At least not to me. However, I never get this much hockey in my neck of the woods so I'm watching it anyway because who knows the next time I'll get to see this much hockey.
