Trade Theo the Sieve NOW!

There is nothing worse then having an inconsistent goaltender. Just as Theo established that he only needed one goal to win, low and behold, he lets four in (number 4 for the dyslexic).  How can his team expect any reasonable chance of winning with such a horrendous show of sieveness. He only faced 42 shots, a typical defensive game for Les Boys. Would it of killed him to stop 4 more? After all, the Leafs only played 3/4 of the game in the Hab’s zone and if it was not for the heroic suspender hangings of such defensive stalwarts as Boullion and Robidas, he could of faced 20 more shots and even let in yet another goal. Sheesh!

For those of you who want to wrestle Gretzky on his basement shag carpet for not including Theo on the Olympic team, I have these words of wisdom. Do you really think that Theo can win games by himself? After all, the entire team watched in horror from the sidelines last night as Theo could not keep the lowly Leafs forwards from trying to light him up. In fact, I overheard a Leaf fan call the Hab’s zone the “Red Light” district.  

If you people paid attention you would noticed that Therrien had opened a booth and was selling “One Dollar, One Shot” tickets. Rumour has it that Therrien made 50 bucks last night. And, get this, to show what a wonderful coach that he is, he is taking the whole team out today to watch “Midget Wrestling Smackdown”. After all, that is where most of his defenceman came from.

Oh, I am sorry, where are my manners. The politically correct term is “graduates of the school of size challenged hockey gladiators”.

Back to Theo, if he can not win when our beloved team gives him an entire goal to work with, then I think we should trade him for future consideration, while we still have some of these considerations in our future. I don't want to be to cryptic here, after all, not all Hab fans can understand the meaning hidden in the words between the letters.

I'm not sure how to take your post. I don't know if you are serious, joking or sarcastic with this post. If you are serious, then you're nuts. Please don't be offended because I don't mean it in an offensive way. It's just that Theo is a very good goalie. He's still young and he is just going to get better. If you were joking then forgive me for not realizing it.

Toronto (CH) -- Maybe the team's alarm clock didn't go off. In any case, Jose Theodore took on the Leafs all by himself Saturday afternoon, as the Canadiens fell to Toronto 4-1.
In what one can only assume was a nice gesture by the Habs organization, it seems they allowed everyone at the ACC a chance to score on the Montreal netminder. Toronto fired 45 shots at Theodore, as the Canadiens abandoned him time and again throughout the game.

Toronto (30-18-5-4) took to the Montreal zone with little difficulty, and for the first time in many games the Habs could not slow down their opponent’s transition game.

My actual note from the first period: – "Not only is the rink tilted in the Leafs favour, but it looks like they’ve got 12 skaters on the ice too."

Robert Reichel got things off to an ominous start for Montreal, as the diminutive Czech skated unabated from the corner and jammed the puck past a helpless Theodore just 1:10 into the game.

A dominating powerplay performance by the trio of Shayne Corson, Robert Reichel and Darcy Tucker led to Toronto’s next goal in the period, as Corson potted his tenth of the year on a two-foot tap-in.

For those as concerned as I was, I can assure you that authorities have been notified regarding the whereabouts of Craig Rivet on the goal. Rivet left the front of the net to chase the puck, allowing a lone Montreal defender was to fend off the two leafs in front.

To their credit, Montreal (24-22-8-3) did cut the lead to 2-1 partway through the second, but only after Bryan McCabe took a foolish penalty slugging Yanic Perreault to the ice.

On the poweplay, Sergei Berezin, in his patented spot just to the side of the goal, took a goalmouth feed and fired his second attempt past a sprawling CuJo. Berezin was one of the few Canadiens (Richard Zednik being the other) who actually appeared threatening from time to time.

However Toronto regained the two-goal lead with 3.5 seconds left in the second, when Travis Green buried a backhand after a mad scramble in front of the Habs net.

Toronto would add one more in the third, an empty-netter from Jyrki Lumme.

The loss reduces Montreal’s record at the ACC to 0-8-
