I have it on good authority that BCE, Bell Canada's parent company, has purchased the rights to the naming rights of the Canadien's arena. This should be announced this evening at Saku's press conference.
Apparently, it will be call the Bell Centre.

I don't know about anyone else, but this doesn't really bother me. It would be for the same money wouldn't it?

I seriously doubt the Habs would do something like this tonight. The focus will be on Saku, let's leave it to that!

We have seen numerous other arenas change names and if it means more money in our coffers you can call the arena anything you want.molson's regardless still holds 19% of the team and in no way does this diminish there presence. HFTO

this is a very good news...the Bell center...Le centre Bell...Molson had it for 140 M over 20 Y...and sold it to Bell...the nice part is that Molson will continue to invest the original contract on "le club de hockey Canadiens de Montréal" a distinc corporation in which they owe close to 20%...new money to put better players on ice ...the fun is close to start
Finally Molson is better to invest his money in a corporation he has a share...then in le centre that they don't

Shouldn't it be called the Belle Centre? Or is it that ugly?

Shouldn't it be called the Belle Centre? Or is it that ugly? No,because Bell is the same in English and French. And Belle would be like the 'beautiful centre'...LOL I really like this move.We get more $$$ to spend on the team(hopefully).
