It's great now that we are tie for the 7th place with the rangers. THEODORE is the hart trophy candadite for the habs this season. Look at this great possibility we have after the result of the games played wednesday and thursday. We could be at 4 points off the 6th the islanders because we win againsth pit thursday, the isles lose againsth the leafs and the rangers lose againsth the Wings. 6 - isles - 63 points - 55 games 7 - habs - 59 points - 56 games 8 - Rangers - 57 points - 56 games or 9th if the devils have 58 points - 55 games If we could catch the isles and finish 6th we could start the playoff againsth CAROLINA. I hope they could do that but i will be proud off are team this year something we haven't been use to in the last 4 years. Thanks to Andre Savard and Jose Theodore.

There is no doubt that grabbing the 6th spot is definitly a goal for our team. We don't only think playoffs, but I'm sure Therrien and cie are thinking also about moving deep in the conference.
With the way Theodore and the entire team have been playing lately, we can't blame them to do so.. we are so confident and energized.
That would also motivate even more Savard to probably make a deal to increase his chances to get into the playoffs and make some noise there too.

I think we stand a chance against any team except Philadelphia and Boston. They seem to have our number and easily have the size advantage. Like many have said, it would be nice just to make the playoffs, but once we are in, I'm thinking cup run. Only out of optimism and desire though, I doubt that we could actually go through the playoffs like that.

Once "in" you never know. Boston is pretty good, Philly IMO, still has to find that goaltender that can make the diff. The one team I'd hate to play against is the Leafs. For one we have problems with them and second, I just can't immagine having to deal with the Leafs fans if they ever (God forbid) beat us in the playoffs... Decades of gloating upon us... Fast forward to 2010: Leaf fan: ;D"...remember in 2002 when we beat you...well there's your proof that we are a MUCH superior franchise...no matter what". HABS fan: "..yeah but that was almost 10 years ago... you didn't make the playoffs since and we won 3 cups..." Leafs fan: ;D"...my point exactly, you haven't beat us in the playoffs ever since..." HABS fan:
