I don't know about Dafoe being overrated, but they may be interested in an experienced Vet to push him if they have serious designs on the cup this year.

Well,Dafoe's stats are not great for a guy who plays on a pretty good defensive team.By the way,they want Hackett for next year,if they don't re-sign Dafoe. |

Sounds fine to me...But what do we get back from the B's?
Seems to me they'd only be dealing picks right now...but maybe that's all Hack's value around the league is right now.
I don't know how crazy I am about helping out the Bruins though, we'd preferably like to be battling them next year without a motivated Hack in net.

I'd be very happy with a 3rd rounder for Hackett.As for Hackett coming back to beat us 'motivated',that shouldn't be a concern since the Bruins would give the #1 job to Grahame and ask Hackett to start 30-35 games.Very rarely do the Bruins play their #2 against us. |

I can't see the Habs and Bruins making a trade if both teams think they will be in the playoffs. It's a good bet the Bruins will be there, and I thinks the Habs will also. Unless we fall out of playoff contention don't look for that one to happen.
