For the people who didn't know, Pat Burns is now the colour analyst for the Manchester Monarchs(Kings AHL team) on local radio. And tonight, on CKAC, he had some very nice words on Ron Hainsey. He said that Ron Hainsey is improving every time he sees him(Manchester are playing the Cits alot recently), he makes a great 1st pass out of the zone, is smart, plays with his head up and is already a +10. I can't believe I am saying this, but could it be Regean Houle actually made a good 1st round draft pick? The more I hear about Hainsey, the more I love it.He looks alot like a future Wade Redden.Very smart d-man with great skills.

I'd be very happy with a Wade Redden clone...maybe a little less whining though.
BTW, I feel as though I've been watching a Ron Hainsey/Wade Redden clone all season in Kitchener. Steve Eminger should go in the first round this year, and if he doesn't go in the top 15 he's going to be a steal for some team. I know we're stacked on D already, but believe me, some team will be very happy with this pick. Good size, excellent skater, amazing vision, rocket shot, and not afraid to get physical.

I would be very surprised if Eminger lasts until 15th overall. He is behind Bouwmeester,Babchuk and Pitkanen. He has surpassed Ryan Whitney. With teams like Atlanta,Florida,Anaheim,Pittsburgh,Buffalo and Washington DESPERATELY needing some help on the blueline,I would be very surprised if a quality d-man is still available at pick number 15.

Hey man, even a broken clock is right twice a day! Yeah, but it looks like Reggie also made a good pick with Marcel Hossa! could it be he was actually, maybe, slight chance, becoming a decent GM at the draft table?
