Like many of you I think Andre Savard has more up his sleeve I'm sure at some point he will address our size issue I hope but at some point he will have to be satisfied and stop making changes. This team has undergone a major over haul in less than a year and at one point or another he will have to sit back and let this team gel so he can properly assess it. I think changes should come sooner than later what do you guys think. HFTO

HFTO I hope he will not be satisfied until we win the cup ;D ;D Seriously, you talked about the major overhaul in a year. That is exactly what he had to do.Why keep something together that wasn't working?

I think more moves are on the way. AS has to make room on the blueline, not only for the players returning from injury, but for the likes of Hainsey next year. The size issue also needs to be addressed. With the return of Audette and Koivu, even if it's not til next year, the Habs will be top-heavy in smurfs. My best bet would be a package of Hackett, a d-man (possibly Souray..hopefully Robidas) and a small forward (Ribeiro?) in return for a crasher/banger to play up front.

IF we were to make a trade like that, and we add Hossa to our lineup,we wouldn't be that small up front(assuming that crasher/banger is a center) Hossa-Koivu-Audette Berezin-Perreault-Kilger Ribeiro-crasher/banger-Zednik Bulis/Juneau/Dackell Asham With that lineup, you have a physical or at least a big body on the top 3 lines.Man,I totally forgot about Petrov! well,he would certainly fit in there. Anyways, the point is this:if we can put a big guy, with 2 talented but small guys,it would certainly help out in the size departement.

As long as he keeps making trades that make us better and have more depth then i don't want him to stop ever!!!
This guy is proving to be a master GM, and the fact that he is only a rookie at it says volumes. He could still be running this team in 10 years if he keeps up his hard work.
I'd be williing to bet that AS spends 10-12 hours a day analyzing this player and that player and the dynamics of our team. We are a .500 team and you want him to stop?? I don't think he should stop trying to improve this team until we are a top 10 in the league type team.
If anybody can turn a $30 million payroll into a top 10 team this is the guy. We really need to get less depth on the blueline and more quality. Our top 4 d men are very weak, thank god that theodore turned into the goalie that he has or we'd be toiling near the bottom of the league, trade or no trades.

The payroll is not important when you have a bright GM and a bunch of good, young prospects.Look at how many teams have about the same payroll as us,and are among the best teams in the league(Ottawa,Edmonton,Chicago,Boston, etc).I seriously think you can go a long way with a 30-40 million payroll, which is where we are now.And it seems like Georgie wants to win,so if it means getting the payroll even higher,he would accept.

I really hope that he will never be satisfied. There is always room for improvement. You can never be perfect. If this is the philosophy he follows, we are in very good hands.
