Let the rumours begin.
If Michel Therrien wasn't nervous about his job before, he ought to be now. Pretty much the only thing that can save him I would think, would be making the playoffs.
I don't think Savard would fire Therrien in mid-season - barring of course, a ten game slump or something - but if the Habs don't make the 2nd season...
Robinson, Carbonneau, Green? They all played together, didn't they?

If there is any chance we would lose him by waiting until the season is over then I say do it now. Personally, I don't think even making the playoffs can (or should) save Therrien's job. Let's face it; he's a pretty bad NHL head coach. That said, Robinson has to be the right fit for the team based on our personnel. I mentioned in another post that if his strengths include good team defense, working well with young players, good game management, and having the crediblity that comes with being a Hall of Fame player and Cup winning coach, then I say do it right now. It's certainly not FAIR to Therrien, but hey, it's all about winning and doing right by the fans and the organization. Do it now!

I'd like to know which young players Larry has helped.Look at how he ignored Pierre Dagenais and prefered to play garbage like Jim McKenzie and Randy McKay instead.Look at how Scott Gomez has stagnated since Larry took over, look at how Colin White hasn't really progressed at all, etc.I am not too sure we can call him a young players coach.

I am not sure if Robinson helps or hinders those others, but reports said that Gomez missed Mogilny, not Robinson...
