I'm wondering if it has to do with the "Ken Hitchcock" style of doing business but he's minus-6, with 7G and 19 assists in 39 GP. What's up with that? Lets forget about him destroying Team Disgruntled in the HabsRus pool (no it's never the GM's fault 8)) but this guy is really underproducing. This guy makes wayyyy too much money to not be producing. Again, is it the the Hitchcock system? I don't know guys, I've read some posts elsewhere that suggest Savard may want to go after this guy, and I've entertained it myself. But, something tells me that if this guy's play doesn't improve with a new coach in place, a change of scenery would only be a temporary fix at best. No, I wouldn't like to see this guy in Montreal. I don't know why but I feel he'd be taking the place of some player who does want to be there. Besides, a tin-man isn't my idea of someone who could help bring along the youngsters anyway. Cheers.

I think it's fair to say he never fit in in Dallas Dis. For starters, he isn't recieving anywhere near the same ice time he did in St Louis and like you said, he is the tin man. I can't see Hitchcock [or if you prefer Hitchthingy or Hitchdoodle] giving him much of a chance to fit into the system with guys like Modano and Nieuwendyke ahead of him. Perhaps the new coach will give him more ice time or possibly the new GM will use him as a tool to put his stamp on the team. Only time will tell I guess, but I am with you. I think he would just take ice time away from someone who wants to be here if we got him.
Take care I'm OUT.

It was curious signing at the time in my opinion but I guess Turgeon really didn,t want to come back here.Hitchcock was and never was going to let Turgeon play his wide open game ask audette and kamensky I'm sure things will change but wonder if a trade vvvmaybe in the offing.Three top centers and not enough ice time. I wonder if Pierre would sign with us NOW.What a terrible career move he made when he signed with Big D.Didn't he see there was a guy named Modano and another chap named Nieuwendyk on this team? didn't he see they have NO 'A' talent on the wings?
I fully expect him to be traded out of Big D sooner rather than later.I dunno if the Habs should go after him, since he is another relatively small center.

Good to see you on board Mark. As for Pierre making a terribl move, I completely agree with you. There was no way he was going to be an impact guy in Dallas. Perhaps he was looking for a place where he wasn't going to be the main guy with all eyes focused squarely on him. Perhaps he saw it as being closer to the Stanley Cup. I hope St Andre does NOT go after him simply because he is the Tin Man and I don't think he is what the team needs. I would prefer a tough winger with a bit of skill to play on the top two lines. I would much rather see Chris Simon or another similar player on a line with Perrault and Berizin than Gino Odjick. Once again, welcom home. 8)
