According to Spector's, Pierre Gauthier has sent a list of players he's looking to deal to every team in the NHL. Among the more notable names are Matt Cullen and Jason York. Rumour has it Savard was interested in Cullen last season. He has decent size, good wheels and is very energetic. York, while not "overly" physical has good size and plays a very good all-round game...a sort of young Eric Weinrich, and there's always the Ottawa/Savard/York link to think about. Any ideas on a potential package for these two?

I do not know much about either, so I went looking at their respective stats.
Statistically, I do not think that Cullen would be an upgrade from what we have at center. A little bigger, that's it. I would not shake up what little chemistry we've got with this deal...
On defense, I would like to acquire York, as he is big enough for the job AND he uses his body (Average about 150 hits per year).
As for the package, I have no idea what it would take, but it better involve some of our fringe players (e.g. Simpson, Robidas, Traverse), rather than any core players (core being used loosely here)... Cheers!

I think York would be a solid acquisition judging from what I've seen in previous seasons. However, there would be a few of issues in my opinion. There is his salary, which I understand is pretty high, and the status of his shoulder injury. It's possible he may not be 100% healthy judging by his current stats.
