I'm hoping with the Subject line of Bulis I get some replies this time. I know to watch Bulis on Saturday and Sunday, and I'll definitely have my eyes on Dougie and Yannic, but who else should I keep my eye on. I really want to watch the players you think are good. I would still appreciate a little help on the HNIC games. I can't assume the Leafs game will be one of them since I'll be in Habs territory even though the Habs game will long be over by the first game. So what two games do you think will be on HNIC this Saturday? I plan on watching both of them because I only get to see HNIC when I am in Canada. I think HNIC is the best on TV. Wish I had it here.

Keep an eye on Zednik as well. He's going to want to paly well against his old team.

I like watching Petrov, Theodore and Gilmour. A russian who was almost out of the league for good, the next superstar french goalie, and a washed up ex leaf who is still doing pretty fine for himself.

...his cat-like reflexes are second-to-none. He's among the better skating goalies in the league and up there with Brodeur as far as scooping up the puck and firing it back out of the zone off the boards or the glass.
He's come along way in 5-6 years and is now among the league's best already at the age of 25. Impressive.
There's no-one else we can say THAT about on this team....yet.

Shawn Van Allen. Aging journeyman, yawning statistics, the foot speed of Wile E Coyote. What more can I say?
(I can't seem to drag that sarcastic face down into place. Maybe the bug-eyed one).

After the whistle I find Gilmour the most interesting to watch. It's as though he is always thinking and often talking to a team mate or jawing the opposition. He is there.
For hi-lite reel I'd keep my eyes on No. 71 in your program but No.1 in our hopes. He's still just a kid but can dazzle with his puck control and little off-speed moves like he's on the pond. As well, he seems to be learning how to stay out of traffic but still be in the play, much like Gretzky use to.
Hope you have a great time and the Boys deliver 4 points!

I think you just have to watch different things from each player.
Watch Zednik go for the shot, and play a fairly simple forechecking game. But he'll always shoot.
Watch Bulis.... well, Bulis is a tough read, watch him and try to figure him out. Expect him to fall on his rear end at least once per game.
Watch Ribeiro never make the play you expected him to make. But also he's slow as molasses.
Watch Perrault basically set himself up for a shot, every time he's out there. Watch him clueless after a faceoff as to what he should be doing - whether he won or lost it.
Watch Petrov just buzz around and confuse the heck outta people.
Watch Markov take shots from the PP and never get them blocked, and watch him step into the offensive zone at just the right moment.
Watch Theo make great saves and look like a Junior when handling the puck behind his net.
Watch Juneau make smart, simple plays dishing off the puck.
Watch Dackell play a solid, simple 2-way game.
Watch Gilmour play like the old fox he is, and do extremely well along the boards in the offensive zone, and make some excellent passes.
I think no player deserves your full attention, but they all have their trends and habits that, once picked up, make it easier to figure out what's going on.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate your replies. Theo, Dougie and Yannic are a given I would watch in both games. Long time HabsRus residents know I've been impressed with Theo since his Rookie entrance when the Habs were in the Playoffs a few years ago. As a Leafs fan I would definitely have my eyes on Dougie and Yannic. A couple of other Habs as well. Since this will be the only time I get to see the Habs this season, and being able to root for them in one of the games, I wanted to make sure I watched the Habs most of you think are good. Good luck to the Habs against the Sens on Saturday!!
