...any chance that this deal could go down?
I REALLY like this kid alot. (I even drafted him as a reserve in our pool) My dish has afforded me the opportunity to watch him on many occassions this season. He has good speed, good hands, a heavy and accurate shot, but more importantly LOVES to hit. He's tough as nails. Mike McPhee reincarnate.
He's quite popular there and it may be a tough sell...
What do you guys think?

I'd rather keep the compasory(?spelling) pick NHL give or take a pick for Savage and bring up Ward

I can't see an expansion team with little hope for a playoff berth dealing for an impending UFA that might, maybe, someday, if he's healthy, potentially, possibly score 30 goals.

The Sun Aint Gonna Shine Anymore Walker Brothers [john and scott]
Loneliness is a cloak you wear A deep shade of blue is always there The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The moon ain't gonna rise in the sky The tears are always clouding your eyes When you're without love, baby.
Emptiness is a place you're in? With nothing to lose but no more to win The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The moon ain't gonna rise in the sky The tears are always clouding your eyes When you're without love.
Lonely, without you, baby Girl, I need you I can't go on.
The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The moon ain't gonna rise in the sky The tears are always clouding your eyes The sun ain't gonna shine anymore When you're without love, baby.
The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The sun ain't gonna shine anymore.

i'm all for it. seems like we'll be getting some real talent in exchange.

Nashville won't do it. I would. Great heart on Scott Walker.

Scottie is the fan favourite in town and won't be dealt for a guy who isn't very well liked by the fans in his town. Unless of course we get their gm drunk. Other than that or holding a gun to his head i don't see it happenin'
What about martin gelinas for savage?

At this point I'd take Jimmy Walker. Trade him before he is injured again and we lose him as a UFA.

I know my reply has nothing to do with the Habs but I just had to. Thank you Mr_Bozo. I always loved that song. Even if I can't hear it, it's neat to see the words. I liked all the Walker Brothers songs. Now back to the Habs.

anyone worried about Walker's concussion problems? Hasn't he had 2 this year? I think he's still out and isn't expected back until March. I'd be a little wary of making this deal...

Perhaps...but a 2-concussion Scott Walker is faaaar and away more valuable than Brian Savage as a Canadien.
Don't you think?

Not if he's at the doctor's office. I'd pass on this one...

Perhaps...but a 2-concussion Scott Walker is faaaar and away more valuable than Brian Savage as a Canadien. Walker is more valuable on any NHL roster other than one with a glaring need for a scoring winger.... ..Which is why Nashville wouldn't do this trade. Savard is building through the draft, I think the way to go is to trade Savage for picks/kids, and go from there. The only type of roster player we'll get for Savage just isn't worth putting on our roster.
