First of all Spiro, this new site is absolutely awesome!!! I go away for three days to the U.S. Virgin Islands with my wife, arrive home at 3:00 AM and go right to the boards and !!
LOVE IT!!!! 8)
Totally disgusted with the score though! Panthers 7 Habs 5
Is Breezy playing and I guess Bulis is looking good. What about Hossa?
Sorry, I've been away and I didn't get ANY news!
Anyway, about Hack, the dilema is folks, you need to play him in order to increase his value or a possible trade. The problem is that, if he plays like he has, your losing valuable playoff points that you need!
Hack has ALWAYS been proud to be a Hab and loves Montreal, so if your Savard you tell him that he's STAYING for this year and maybe you re-negociate his contract and and a year or two while bringing his base salary down!!! He gets more money for the life of the contract, but the Habs put out less per year and have a quality backup who is easier to trade if needed!
Hack, maybee a number one goalie in his mind, but he is smart enough to know that at this stage in his career, a quality backup may be the way to go.
I would trade Garon asuming two things;
#1. He continoues to improve in Quebec, thus increasing his trade value at the trading deadline or in the offseason.. maybe as part of a package for the #1 pivk?
#2 Is Tarsov the real deal, if he is , Michaud and him give us a lot of depth in that position!
Hackett needs to stay and all this talk of trading him, must be distracting... so KEEP HIM!
Any rebbutles?
