Hi everyone. I'm a bells and whistles guy at heart...guess it's the little boy in me. I thought we'd operate from here for a little while just to see if the majority feels the same way. If not, then we'll most certainly return to our old set-up.
I will say that I believe this might add alot of fun to our posting experience. Hope I'm right.
Enjoy,
CO
p.s.
If we do decide (collectively) to use this venue for posting, we will do so by linking to it from a NEW habsRus.com homepage that will of course still feature Pre/Post-Game Reports (we'll NEVER let you go Phil!) plus many new and old features from the past.

Yep...registration is a good idea, there are many benefits....I also agree there are a few things that we'd have to get used to and the layout of posts is one of them...to help reply more accurately might I suggest you do what I did above and insert a "quote" thus making it easier for both the reader and the respondent, or click on "reply with a quote"..sorry, no prize for you since I was the first poster, not YOU! ;D....lastly, of course, send me your pic via email.

Hmmm, I like being able to view a whole thread without clicking on each post.
...but I'm intimidated by all these buttons.

Wow. As if it didn't take me long enough to write my posts, now I have options. Heeheehee. Smiley faces are funny. [flash=200,200]What does this do?URL[/flash] Colors. And don't read anything into my choice of colors either. Looks good - couple of questions though. - When you preview a post, and then click back, you lose the post. Did I do something wrong? Oh wait, that didn't happen this time...
- Is there a limit on the length of posts? Personally I don't like to write to much, but I know WhyteKnight does.
- What is the message icon thing?
I like it.

I like it. Glad you like it BC, I'll check into your concerns about character limits per post, but of course, you needn't worry too much about that...you and your scrawny posts. Have a good one and thx again, CO

I have to say Spiro... I'm impressed... And when you consider that I have absolutely no life beyond a computer screen and classes (which ironically, force me to spend more time around a computer screen) - the fact that I'm impressed by a site should be something special. As a question... are those the only JS tags we'll be allowed to use in here? Or will I be able to program up some code to toss around. What a great way for me to study... program on a Habs website... Alright - I'm getting giddy now. Someone stop me This site rates a for sure... lets move in Hehehehe... Someone put a message in when the game starts tonight... I'll be too busy playing with this to notice the time...

Hey CO I think this is cool. Only complaints? 1) - it'll be harder to follow threads and sub-threads here 2) all these options will seriously make me waste tons of time 3) I wonder if all these options aren't too bandwidth-intense for the connexion-impaired (ie - those who are on 56K or *gasp* lesser modems Overall though, it's a HUGE improvement over the previous script and I'm happy to move in NOW.
Now onto some goofing off: 8) ;D HabsRule right?[glow=red,2,300] hey, this Glows ![/glow] [shadow=red,left,300]Shadow[/shadow] Chehabi rules HabRUs rules !

There'll be an adjustment period, certainly, but I too feel that for now, the good outweighs the bad...by a good margin. Thx a bunch for your input....much appreciated CO

You mean there's still civilized people out there using less than 56K modems?
Ick.
Seriously, I had to use a 28.8 while I was home for christmas and I spent most of my time crying it was that bad. But if you want the page to load faster I'd suggest going to your internet options and turning off javascript, active x and images. It won't be pretty - but oyu won't notice it.
In the meantime - I thought I'd make an asthetic note. Spiro - this isn't a complaint (I love this place), but would it be possible to instead of having aread back ground have a white one? That way it'd look more in line with the rest of your page
[glow=red,2,300]Later[/glow]
P.S. I might have a surprise for you later on.... I'm trying to conjure up something as we speak...
