We have to all-out attck Khabibulin. He has been fantastic this year. And we also have to take advantage of the fact that they played last night. Skate em right into the ground! Thats the secret!!!

Lets hope a victory the schedule after the Florida swing is brutal lets hope the weather sucked and the boys didn't get sunburnt I will be diappointed if they don't come out with a victory we've squandered too many points already. Is that a beer I hear trying to break out of the fridge! HFTO ;D

It seems to me that without Brisebois and perhaps Savage (has anyone heard of his status for tonight) the Boys are going to have to play a pretty tight D and wait for their chances. I guess you'd call it a typical boring road game. Might not be a bad idea as Theo will no doubt be playing with loads of confidence given his recent All-star selection.

I think we're going to be in tough tonight... we've got Savage, and Breisbois down... any word on Hossa? He was out with a bad wrist too. And it's not like our offence wasn't anemic before they went down.
Maybe the Bulin Wall will have an off night. We should expect spectacular goaltending from Jose (he's flying high right now) but I don't think our defence is going to be helping him much. We don't have a lot of speed up front either, nor can we grind - which means we'll have a tough time taking advantage of Tampa's exhaustion.
Supposing Tampa shows up tonight, to win we're going to have to play the puck deep and cycle it a lot. Makov should get some decent minutes on the PP tonight with Breezy gone. Should being the operative word, because it's just as likely Therrien will have a brain cramp and put himself out there. <br> Final? 2 - 0 Montreal. Theo gets another shut-out. Goals from Zednik (he's due for God's sake. The law of averages says the pucks got to go in sometime) and an empty netter by Markov (thus proving that yes, he can hit the net). Therrien's head falls off spontainously in the second period and after the game Savard announces that he has traded Savage, Hackett and a fifth round pick to Tampa for Vinnie L.
Or not.

I feel like I woke up in a psychedelic experience.
Tampa bay must be crushed like grapes. I think it's a must. If they can't pick up 3 points in Florida against these chumps then they don't deserve to have a shot at eighth.
Not having Savage in the line up is an advantage at this point.
I'll brook no trunk with any opposition or dissent....

I think that Gilmour, Petrov, and Theo will have a good night tonight against the lightning. They are our hottest Habs at the moment. I like seeing Ribs,Zednik,Bulis, Markov and Bouillon play lately too. They are also providing a spark to the team. I believe we are capable of sending 4 solid lines on the ice and they are all a threat to score. We haven't had that luxury for a couple of years. Even with Savage injured I like our forwards. Having Savage out of the lineup doesn't hurt us that much but Brisebois out of the lineup does hurt us a lot. Especially on getting the forwards the puck and on the power play. Even though we get on him, Brisebois is our best defenceman and Markov looked a little uneasy being the Quarterback against the canes and Markov is one of my favorite habs but he's not ready to take over the #1 spot on defence for the team.

I feel the same way you do, JV. They have to take at least 3 points (if not 4) against these inferior teams.
As for the loss of Savage, too bad because we can't showcase him for a trade, but then again, he wasn't much of a showcase before... Let's hope the rest/rehab let's him put his game into perspective... May he find his game...
On the other hand, Savage's loss will allow us to play the kids who are more deserving to play than Savage. That means more ice-time for the likes of Ribeiro, Hossa, Asham, etc... Maybe that'll help us rather than hurt us.
