Sportsnet.ca -- Patrick Roy will be named new head coach of the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Sportsnet has learned. The announcement is expected to be made at a press conference at 4 p.m. ET this afternoon. Roy spent 19 seasons in the NHL, posting numbers that will no doubt result in a Hall of Fame induction. A three-time Vezina trophy winner as the league's top goaltender (1989, 1990, 1992) and a three-time Conn Smythe winner as playoff MVP (1986, 1993, 2001), Roy amassed 551 wins and 66 shutouts with a 2.54 career goals against average. He led the Avs to Stanley Cup championships in 1996 and 2001, breaking NHL records for goalies during his stay in Colorado. He also won a pair of Cups with Montreal, in 1986 in his rookie season and again in 1993.
