Jon Sim, who was born and raised in our little hamlet, New Glasgow NS was traded today to the Preds for Bubba Berenzweig and futures. Jon's dad was a hab fan all his life but we lost him when the Stars drafted Jon. There are two other NHL'ers from here; Derek Walser who is up and down with the Jackets and of course Colin White from the Devils. When I stand on my front lawn I could hit any of their houses with a three iron. HA says, 'must be a lot of woods around there' ;D Jon was the MVP at this years AHL all-star snooze, he's a good little player but too small. I wish him much success in Nashville. You know what ,after a Habs game againts the Stars when Carbo was still the assistant and Hossa had 1goal and an assist, I was at a pub on crecent and Carbo sat next to me. There was Morrow, Hossa, Malhotra he had just gotten traded from the Rangers, also Sim was there. I didn't know him, Carbo told me who he was. Sim was drinking so much he was hilarious, he had straws up his nose, he payed us shooters, it was an incredible night for a hockey fan like me. I was with my gf that night and all of a sudden all these players pop in and sit right next to us. I hope Sim gets a crack with the Kings and all their injuries. Didn't he have 4 goals in a pre-season game this year??

Nice story habsland, Jon did indeed score 4 goals in an ex. game. He's a feisty player, i really hope that he can make it. Thanks for the story, I'll pass it on to his dad.
