As close to a perfect road game as I've seen. Better defensive coverage, Price was focused, hell, even Bourque contributed. I'm a smilin' dude in a sea of Hab haters. Love it!!

Pretty well a perfect road game. They weathered the early storm - that was short-lived.
They continued to expose Tampa's D. Murray is slow. Gill was slow. They can still turn. Gudas struggles to turn like no other I've seen. They attack him every chance they get, and need to continue. Montreal continues to be able to create stretch pass plays and exploit the d up the middle too. Gionta's break away. Bourque splitting the D.
A PP goal is great. Super tip from DD, who'd been strong. Right now the weak link is Max. He got his first playoff point tonight, and got some good fore check hits tonight. Still, just off a bit offensively.
Chapeau to Bourque. 2 goals. Both showed speed and some skill. He's been pretty solid since the scratch a few weeks ago. Keep it up.
Right now, we got 4 lines that have created chances and goals. That's hard to beat.

Another strong game by the Habs, skating hard as game one but correcting the defensive zone blunders from game one.
The first period was strange. I know Tampa started strong, but really the best chances that period were for the Habs and I love the fact no one got down about not cashing one.
Great game by Bourque. There was not a forward out there that did not look hungry.

Don't remember the last time I saw this good of a forecheck from a Canadiens' team. Where was this during the regular season? Makes Price's job much easier.

I thought Prust rebounded & it was good to see him take on Gudas. Can't remember the last time Bourque scored twice in a Game. Wiese actually got kudos from Cherry for trying to setup Bourque for the empty netter.

Markov did a great job neutralizing Stamkos. One really good hit on him too. Andrei's been playing with a chip on his shoulder since the Olympics. Love it.

I echo everyone's sentiments here.
Superb all-round game given the do-or-die situation on Tampa's side.
Wonder if we've seen the last of Lindback.
SOOOO glad Bourque got that wrap-around to put something in Gudlevskis's mind.
We needed contributions from everyone....and we're certainly getting that. They're keying on our 1st line, and the others are stepping up.
Subban's hard pass for DD's deflection PP goal was brilliant.
Keep it goin', boys!

Great game from start to finish despite Tampas decent start they didn't dominate us in our zone...beside Price being back on form best thing is our top line hasn't been counted on to carry the team...and quite frankly that's what you need to have success in the playoffs....lets hope they keep it going. I am surprised at Tampa's struggles in their end but guess that's credit to the Habs...don't count any chickens until the fat lady sings Tampa is still a good team.

Two really solid road games, two wins. Well deserved.
Good start but a long way to go. Need to win the next shift!

SOOOO glad Bourque got that wrap-around to put something in Gudlevskis's mind. This! .... the most important goal of the game was Bourque's 2nd as not only does Gudlevski have something to think about ... so does Coach Cooper as he trys to sort out his goaltending. Great Game ... Sunday's in montreal will be rocking ... YeeHaw!!

I didn't think Lindback was that bad tonight. His rebound control was much better. He should have had Gallagher's goal, but the rest were pretty honest goals imo. I think the goalie swap was as much a timeout as anything. Gudelvskis was shakey on the goal, he was looking over his shoulder after the first shot.
Game 3 is pivotal. Gotta be even more focused than tonight. Can't get drunk off the 2 road wins.

Game 3 is pivotal. Gotta be even more focused than tonight. Can't get drunk off the 2 road wins. Scotty Bowman always said that about Game 3 when you're up 2-0. You have a chance to be up 3....or only 1. Agree...more focus without being tight. Which is basically being confident in your abilities and in those of your teammates. It's a swagger. We need Toe Blake to walk into the Habs' dressing room like he did during the 1986 run: "Guys! You haven't won ANYTHING yet!" Great night all around. Bruins lose 1-0 on Datsyuk's late goal. Lucic gave DeKeyser a separator from behind....ridiculously more egregious than his cowardly shot on Emelin. Should be suspended for that. What a gutless punk.

Bourque!!! Who'd a thunk? Perhaps his luck is changing. Nothing like some hard work. If he regains his scoring prowess of 27 goals a season the Cup is ours.
So fun to watch when you don't care which line is out there. they're all fun to watch. But still salivate when DD's line is out there and they haven't even found their groove yet.
Still care when Weaver and Booboo are out there, especially when Stamkos is out there.
Is MT out coaching Cooper or does he have better goaltending and a better team?
Funny listening to CBC talk about how TB was dominating the 1st. Huh? Thought it was pretty even and Lindback had the tougher saves. But boy the disappointment on the CBC voices when BGal got his goal was priceless.

I guess they have to call it a spear....but to me that's a stick uppercut....a separator...a sterilizer. A lot of force on that one....and all because he got hit along the boards just before that. He'd better not get away with it. If I was Quintal, I'd give him 5 games. That's absolutely one of the lowest things you can do.....and from behind as well. How can any Bruin fan or talking head POSSIBLY defend that?

Gutless punk, and not as if it is his first time...although the league office has ignored everything so far.

I posted in the 2014 playoffs thread as well, because it doesn't REALLLLLY pertain to this game. He's a joke. I wouldn't care if he was a 50g mvp. I wouldn't want him on my team. Period. ZERO CLASS. Love to see someone bend that beak of a nose backwards. I don't care what they use doing it either.

Lucic is a complete punk, spearing in the nuts twice in the last month after guys delivered legal checks. Naturally since it is we are talking about the NHL, the league office obviously will do nothing.

hmmmmm.........so Quenneville gets $25,000 for grabbing his junk and Lucic 's castration attempt of someone else's gonads gets....nothing? ? What am I missing here. It's ok to diddle others but don't diddle yourself. There should have been at least a 2 min. penalty for illegal practice of medicine and a game misconduct for the lack of anaesthesia.

It was apparently behind the play, and missed by the officials. It's deliberate attempt to injury and should have been a match penalty. Match means an automatic 1 game suspension. I think it should be at least 5. Rupture a testicle and tell me it's not as serious as a head shot (to the one on the shoulders) or a check from behind.
