I'm not celebrating. Others have created them. I'm merely sharing, cause they are funny. A former co-worker asked if she could start chanting "0lé!" yet. I said, "not until we've won it all."

Pateryn in, in place of Beaulieu. I found the announcement odd. "Beaulieu will miss the remainder of the first round". ? That could be one, two, three or 4 games. Strange way to phrase it, as usually it's a period of time....a week, 10 days...indefinite. Concussions, to me, are "who knows?". It could be months.

How often has a much lower seed come back down 0-3, it's all over but the crying. I'm waiting for the fat lady to sing her last note before I start celebrating. Not saying to celebrate per se, but no way does this team beat the Habs four straight. If you think it's possible, put down some money with a bookie, you'll make a bundle.

Strange way to phrase it, as usually it's a period of time....a week, 10 days...indefinite. Concussions, to me, are "who knows?". It could be months. The end of the first round is actually fairly definitive. If every series goes the fewest games possible from today the last day of round 1 games will be April 25. Since that's highly unlikely, it's more reasonable to assume at least one or two series last until April 26 or 27, meaning the earliest probable date for a round 2 game would be April 29 or 30. Based on that, stating that Beaulieu will miss the rest of this round can be read as he's out for a week to 10 days. Assuming he has a concussion and it's not too serious then a week to 10 days would be about right for him to sit. However, I didn't consult Dr. Recchi so I could be way off in my assessment.

I was just logging on to say pretty much the same thing. Even if you only look at Montreal-Ottawa the latest this round could finish would be about a week from now. So if they're observing the concussion protocol and he can't play for a week anyways then he's out for the rest of the first round. Still, kind of a too-cute-by-half way of saying it.

I understand a team's desire to hide the location of injuries to prevent the nasties on the other side from targeting specific body parts. And then at other times, the intentional obfuscation about nearly everything just seems childish. With all respect to Beaulieu, whether he is able to play again in 5 days or 10 days is probably not going to affect the Habs' fortunes, nor change the tactics used by an opponent against us. And I know it shouldn't mean the end of the world to we Hab fans either. I just appreciate honesty and am finding the continual lack of it very tiring.

I reiterate ... we havent won anything yet. And coming back from down 3-0 is not as rare as it once was. How often has a much lower seed come back down 0-3, it's all over but the crying. A team coming back from 0-3 has happened 4 times ... 1942 - Toronto were 15 points better in the regular season than Detroit. 1975 - Islanders were 1 pt worse than the Penguins 2010 - Philly was 3 points worse than Boston 2014 - LA was 11 points worse than San Jose Montreal were 11 points better in the regular season this year than Ottawa. So it has happened before.

I just hope no major injuries occur as a result of dirty play.

Yes, about the same chance I have of taking Natalie Portman out in a date slim to none.

I used to read the prospects section of the NHL Guide front to back and over again. I either need a life or a job in the scouting dept.
