HUGE Point lost. Bolts gain one, we lose one basically
Traverse should be sent to Siberia for that penalty. Please someone break his leg or arm so we can stop seeing him in the lineup!!
Both goalies were excellent. But Habs had the chance to put it away in 3rd and didn't do it...
...argh

I am in no mood to chat. Sorry.
Damn we had that one in the bag. Great 3rd period after the 2nd. But F'in Traverse takes another ridiculous penalty to cost us the point.......

The game was decided by 2 players IMO: Traverse and Brisebois. Brutal give-aways all game long and then that STUPID penalty by Traverse at the end of the 3rd was the kicker. If this doesn't convince Habs management to get rid of him, he will be with the Habs organisation until he is 40. How is it possible that we are the only ones that see this? I can't believe that we don't have something better in the minors...or juniors..or broomball league. Just awful. Let's hope that Gilmour or Koivu tear a strip off of him.

Rookie coach grabs 4 of 6 possible points. Not bad results for what is basically an evaluation period.
First full-fledged practice of the system he wants to use happens Friday. Guess tomorrow he goes over his notes from the 3 games. Must have a reasonably sound idea of who's capable and incapable of what.
The thoroughbreds and promising colts have been marked. Question is how many horses will he get to drink the water he leads them to, and how many will be consigned to either milk-wagon duty or be recommended for the glue factory?

Hey guys, It was mentionned by Demers that there was a lot of scouts tonight From: Florida, Minnessota, Atlanta and 3 from Detroit, i don't remember if there was others but Bowman was there. Bowman talked with Demers after the second, he couldn't believe how Theodore had a bad season start. he was very impressed with his play tonight. Anyway, i suppose the scouts all came to see Tempa but it's fun to dream.

with each and every recent loss Traverse has been the deceiding factor at the end. no one else would do such a stupid thing as what he did tonight. Unbelievable

I didn't think I could ever find a Hab I hated more than Martin Rucnsiky AND Christian LaFlamme.. I just did... PATRICK TRAVERSE!!! You hate him more than Audette? It's not his fault he's getting so much ice-time (unless he really does have picture of AS and is forcing his way onto the ice). Audette, on the other hand, he's a useless player AND a big whiner. "I need more ice time." "I was brought here as the saviour but now I'm garbage." (or something like that) "I was on the All-Star team once." Totally the opposite of a Markov who's a super player but tries to deflect all attention from himself.

Yeah Traverse is a Travesty for sure, but, alot of guys had a mediocre game tonite. I thought the whole team skated very poorly. Like a roller hockey team skating in mud. After a day off around the pool I would have thought we'd be full of speed, but all for not. Even Petrov looked tired. All in all there was too much standing around and lots of diving. That brings me to the officiating, it was a joke. There was so much clutch and grab out there it ruined any real momentum. Take the point and get the hell out of there.
It'll be interesting to see the transformation, if any, over the next 8-10 games.

Yeah, it would seem the first real good training will be friday so we should be able to get a good glimpse of what is the new system saturday night. ;D Because right now it's only applied theories and nothing else. not much time to practice on the road.

I'm not sure what I have less tolerance for: lack of skill and talent or dumb plays. But when it's all wrapped up in one player like trav it blows me away that this guy keeps getting ice time. We'll see how CJ reacts. If CJ keeps playing him then we must all be missing something. I have never seen one player cost the team game after game and still be playing.

Well I was working and don't have RDS anyway but I'll take your words on Travesty blowing it(kinda like one of you telling me the sky was blue yesterday). Anyway I was checking the stats and we had 28 shots which is still better then before but then I noticed that Koivu, Zedder, Gilmour and Markov accounted for 17 of them. 4 guys getting 61% of the shots, was it 1 line carrying us tonight or what?
Don't forget the two game's this weekend are at 2:00 pm Sat(RDS) and Sun(TSN).

Let's see...Travesty penalties in last week and a half TWO dumb ones against Calgary TWO dumb ones late to Atlanta. Costs us a win And last night How does such a player even get a penalty? how does someone who totally avoids the physical contact take penalties?

One positive about last night:
Koivu played like a superstar. He really did.

Many positives last night.
The team is starting to acquire Julien's system, in many occasions you could see the 5 players working in the same zone, the gap between offense and defense is shrinking. Also in many occasions there was some real good transition play, you can see that they are trying to exit the d zone in an organized fashion rather then firing the puck off the board blindly.
Rome wasn't built in one day and the players (all of them) are adjusting to a new system and for the most part, to new lines as well that obviously aren't even all that set in Julien's mind.
Patience is required here.

One other related thing I noticed during the second intermission was the interview with Koivu and Demers. When it was his opportunity to ask Saku a question, he preached to him as to what they have to do in the third period. He didn't have a question. You could tell by Koivu's reaction that he didn't like Jacques tone of delivery, never mind the message itself. But Koivu being Koivu kindly agreed in part with what he was saying to get the interview over with. I thought Demers was way out of line and made himself look like an angry little kid on the playground who didn't get picked for the team. Telling the viewers what he thinks the team should do is one thing, and the reason why he's there, but, when he begins to instruct a player on national television, he's stepping over the line. When he becomes the coach of this team again (if ever), then he has the right to tell the players what they should be doing.
Am I the only one who noticed or who feels this way?

I think by the 10th game of CJ's tenure we will see if his system is being implemented and if things are going in the right direction
Like Mr Bozo keeps saying...they haven't even had a practice oriented on that system yet!
Also 3 points out of 4 on road is great.

Also 3 points out of 4 on road is great. The most important thing is that we didn't lose. We couldn't lose that game even in OT. It would have been a real hard blow to us. Just like the win over the panthers. It crushed them. Now FLO isn't in the run anymore. They'll need a HUGE streak of win to get beyond us and the other teams competing for that playoffs spot.

1. Did anybody else notice that in the overhead view of Koivu's penalty shot it showed the puck was cleearly on its way into the net before Koivu touched it and dragged it past the outside of the post (and ending the play)?
2. Czerkawski had about 3 or 4 really good shifts and none that were atrocious.
3. The powerplay on which we scored we had the puck in TB territory continuously for a minute and twenty seconds.
4. Theodore dropped to his knees (again) before the shot that tied the game had left the stick of Andreychuk.
