Listen up people. The Hab's are playing so bad some nights that even the HabsRus Habsicles can beat them. We need to form this paper (hackumm...fantasy) team just in case they issue a challenge. Do we have a full roster? How many left wingers? How many right wingers? JacquesFla 6'2" 190 Centers? Right defense? HA---5’ 10” 255 (what?? steel cahones : Left Defense? BC?—5’ 1” 190 (he lost a foot ever since he started to post in HabsRus) Goaltenders? JV Maritimer Okay, for right defense, the Duck Walker extraordinaire, the legendary, the only one, moi. Famous Quotes: "I could hear their ribs cracking when I check them" ".........and that spot of blood is when he dropped his gloves..." "His first mistake was when he passed the red line and entered Hell" Did I say "fantasy" anywhere? Okay, do we have enough for a full roster? Or more? P.S. Practice is at Spiro's basement. First we drink (a lot) then we practice...........

Well, HA, rumour has it I have the nastiest one-timer in my hockey crazy island community (ok, maybe only six other people can skate), though a more honest assessment of my game is a hard-skating, two-way winger.
I shoot right, but I can play LW if needed (you know, if coach thinks we need shadow on Audette). Size: 6'2" 190 (maybe 200). I'm sure we'll have many younger guys in camp, but I have a feeling our management will follow Savard's lead and keep around a few of us mid-30s types for help the kids.

Left Defense? BC?—5’ 1” 190 (he lost a foot ever since he started to post in HabsRus) This organization clearly does not put the best interests of its players in front of all else. I refuse to play, and will be a contract holdout, until I receive the medical attention I need to regain that lost foot. Spiro must fournish the nurses.

Didn't you boast to the waitress that God gave you another foot long attribute? Who is going to carry the puck out of the zone? You don't expect me to 'bag them and 'tag 'em and rush too ??

5'10'' 200lbs Center/Left Wing, purely offensive, I do not know the way to my own zone. I used to skate like the wind but it has stopped blowin' a long time ago... I now settle for skating like a mild breeze. I got the softest hands and some funky moves but doing them with the puck has been a challenge throughout my "carreer"...
Getting benched or having my icetime cut is acutally a perk for me...

I found this email from Andre Savard to ALL of the GM's in the NHL:
"Wanted; Forward 5'10 or under, 34 years old or older, must have had his best year at least three years ago, francophone preferred but not necessary, must earn at least $3,000,000, grit and checking not required. Please contact me for possible trade for draft picks and young AHL'ers!"

I am 5'8'' , 180 lbs. I see myself as a Doug Gilmour type. I can break glass with the best of em. I am also a good playmaker. I see the ice very well, ... when I wear my glasses. The only major difference between me and Dougie? I hate Toronto

Centreman. 5'7" 190lbs, solid on my skates. Used to be an offensive minded player, now I'm just plain offensive. ;D

5'11", 190lbs LW'er with a right shot.
I used to model my game after Shayne Corson during his Habs days. I can play an aggressive style and love getting my nose dirty....discipline can be a problem at times!
I've also got a heck of a wrist shot and a nose for the net. Playmaking and vision are probably my best assets.
Downside? My teams goalie probably wouldn't recognize me...

Put me on the blueline. 6'2 235 lbs. I used to play goal but still led my AA midget team in PIM. Guess what my role is? ;D I will play it well and with a smile. Good lateral movement and backwards skating is good, but I skate forward like I'm still wearing the pads. Will block shots for Spiros ladies. ;D Heavy lefty shot. Watch out for the right though.

Geezus. Vinna is the only dude over 6 feet here! Like they say...''cheer a smurf team...chances are you are a smurf''... Well, I'm over six, but HabsAddict deliberately released misleading height/weight statistics (though he was close enough with the weight) so as to diminish my negotiating ability come arbritration time. Said it before, and I will say it again; the Habsicles have no intention of winning it all, and are merely trying to cut costs and save money. I appeal to the Team President, Spiro, to put an end to these shenanigans and to do what it takes to field a happy, winning team. You can start by giving me a free bar tab.

I'm a tender but can play left D no problem at 6'0" 212. Just like Theo and Hacks I'm used to clearing my own crease and getting the puck out myself

Habaroni and cheese, 6'2" 193 lbs, french last name, but all i can say is a la but! I was a grinding type winger my last season in hockey was third in points and 2nd in PIM. More proud of the PIM stats actually. Love to stand in front of the net and hack away at rebounds, defensemens achilles tendons and goalies gloves when they're covering the puck. Not afraid of dropping the gloves at all, and a couple years of boxing taught me to punch through the nose instead of at it. I was also a backup goalie...but having turned 31, not sure the agility is still there. Chalk me up for a left winger, 4th line instigator and penalty killer/leafs killer. I want Darcy Tucker!!!!

I'm another 6+ - slightly over 6'1, 210 lbs when not out of shape, there's currently a 10% surcharge due to excess of sitting at work and not working out.
Haven't skated since the 80's, and wasn't all that great back then.
So, what do you want to do with a tall guy with a lack of skating ability ?
I could be a useful D.
Then again, I do have decent hands, so I could play the McKay role and just park myself in front of the net.
Or I could purposefully put on 200lbs and become the best goalie ever.

2nd line? I think i'm gonna have to get my agent to have a little chat with our GM.. If Brett Hull can accept playing on a 3rd line to win a cup you can accept playing on a 2nd line for...well what are we gonna play for? ;D nice...some over 6 feet players!

#8 - Centre - Matt Scott 6'0" 180lbs, Left handed face-off specialist with above average hands and decent speed. Has a real knack for scoring a lot of tip-in and garbage goals, needs work defensively. Your typical Yanic Perreault clone, great for second line duties.
Has experience, and is willing to serve bench minors for bonehead coach ;D
