I don't mind battlin' for the back up spot...but please don't ask me to start.
I prefer to sit on the bench and take it all in....

Ian : 6'2" - 180 pounds, left handed defenseman looking for a second chance!
Very good skating abilities, good passing skills, accurate shot (please read no hard shot!!!), rarely out of position.
May show sometimes a lack of intensity, may not always play the body and may pivot too late defending a 1 on 1 rush on the right side (ala Murray Baron!!!)...
Nobody's perfect!

Well I could play all 3 forward positions, my fav being LW I'm a righty shot. 5'9" 190lbs. I'm an ok skater, good hands, I can put the puck in the net, and can be responsible in my own end. But I'm willing to play a lesser game and play like Audette if it means I'm in the starting lineup. ;D

Ian fits in well on our 3rd pairing. Chopper; you may get the Audette press box treatment with all our forwards

If need be I can play D, I played there in Peewee. I can be our Francis Bouillon. Except I'll be more of a Christian Laflamme. ;D

You can throw me in the net anytime you need. I have lots of experience there. Almost too much now. Thats why I prefer the point now. In net I was kinda a Kelly Hrudey/Dom Hasek type. No real style just as long as I stopped the puck. On the blueline, I'm kinda like Lyle Odeline, only bigger. The typical Saskatchewan small town kid every team needs. I want Domi...just one shot...

Hey Marc, where would I fit in on the team?
I'm 6' 0" and weigh about 270, I could be the trainer or I could be put in front of the net on the PP. I don't think there would be alot of guys who could move me. It might take me a while to get off of the ice.
I bet I would be a good commentator, a lot better than the dork brothers (Cole and Neale) on CBC.
I could do a Couch's Corner segment between the first and second period which would be a discussion about hockey from the couch potatoes point of view. I could give energy saving tips (how to get something to drink without leaving the comfort of your couch), review the latest universal remotes, taste test potato chips and beer etc.
Does anyone want to be my co-host. We could even get Bob and Doug MacKenzie to do it (they can't be allowed to wear Leaf jersey's or else they would have to Take Off).

I fit in with most of you smurfs 5-8-1/2 187lbs problem is I'm a goal suck and don't think you guys could get me the puck. I'll take the punishment infront cause I won't feel the pain and when I do I hear Spiro has the nurses all lined up. In this world of free agency I think I'll fake a groin injury and mind the bar and the ladies with BC. Great to live in a self centred world isn't now do some laps and never lose to the Leafs! HFTO

6ft2 190pds right winger. Willing to drop with anyone, also will crush everything in sight. Will not be responsible for elbowing penalties. All effort, ohh and i'll put the puck in the net once in awhile. I'll worry about finding zen another time.

work your way up bud although we may have injuries down the middle..alot of old bodies there...LOL Who you calling old, punk? ;D I'm playing regularly for the first time in 5 years again. I'm centering a 20 year old and a 23 year old (I'm just about 33) and they're having a hard time keeping up!

We got size, in fact, we have so much of it that MyHabit and I can actually tilt the ring in our favor! Or at least leave big ruts in the ice. We got fighters. Who needs uber goons with zenseeker, Patty Roy and moi willing to drop them. Hell, who needs hockey when there’s fighting to be done. We got complaining players. You can always trust “where’s-my-agent” BC to take over from Audette. Already complaining publicly and whining about playing time. D*mn rat……………….. We got speed. Even if their so drunk, they can't go in a straight line. We got vertically challenged players. Just like the real team. …. We got grit. And in case anyone doesn’t have enough grit, the trainer will put a cactus in the their jock. This team will be fueled by beer and pizza, actually, rumour has it that we have beer in the water bottles and all that yellow stuff on the ice is not the opposition peeing on themselves. Now, all we need is the coach'potatoe, a team Mascot and dancing girls.

I can play right wing left wing or center. 5'7 180 speedy sniper with the skating ability to get back and help out in my own end. skilled puckhandler but my passing is mediocre.
-Give me a playmaking center and i could be a thirty goal man on a bad team and a quality third line winger on a good one

Sign me up, I can play anywhere but goalie. I'm 6'1 215-220. I starting skating later then most, or I would have been playing in the NCAA where most of my high school teamates went. (They tried to get me to play for their team, which was a really bad team Kutztown U it's in PA, not far from Philly, but I went to business school instead ) I'm slower now, but a lot stronger then when I used to play. Haven't played in 3 years) I worked in a gym for a little while, and I got into lifting weights all the time. I benched 275lbs when I was working out all the time, but I would be good at clearing the crease for sure. My best asset is my hockey sense and intelligence. I never take dumb penalties, and use good positioning in my own end. Stick checking is a favorite of mine, and can be very effective if done right, and I make good passes but my slapper needs work. For my High School team, we got to play in the Spectrum in Philly against the PA state Champs, I played both wings, as I was a lot faster back then. I shoot right, and do whatever it takes to win, block shots, play physical, hard working in the corners, passing, scoring. Win, its what its all about.

Always could use some big centers. I would of put ya on defense but we have a 270 pounder warming the bench (and drinking all the beer). Then again, BC might hold out because management said no to his 'macaroni on rye' sanwiches (what d'ya expect from a Meehan client).

I can dish it or score, but I'm on the slow side, so the wingers would have to carry the puck more.

no problem ;D so few holes left...Viper? JV? Roggy? Dis? AH? CO? Ryan? Boston Habs? Chopper? sonnytheman? I played centre years ago, but left hockey some years back. I started playing broomball shortly after hockey and took it up seriously when my career started. I started at centre, but moved back to defence over the past few years. That's the position I left the game at about 3 years ago. Funny how the game changes for you over the years. I remember my kit bag holding my shower stuff, extra, dry clothing, etc. As I got older, the bag seemed to carry a lot more. In addition to the regular stuff I added the odd case of beer to the bag. Left Defence. 5' 10'' 215 lbs, and don't forget the, ahem, beer ... Moosehead beer ... it's a matter of growing up Cheers.

I knew there was something wrong at the team weigh in when Viper came in and was walking kind of funny. The clanging should of given him away but nooooo. Only when Viper went of with Marc and Marc walked funny that I knew that there was something wrong. Notice how they are both thee same height and weight. Hmmm....... Twins? Raised by aliens? I mean, did they have to steal Spiro's cast iron jock in order to make the team weigh in? No wonder Spiro didn't show up at his wife's Tupperware Party. yup...........
