what do you mean by full health for Tootoo? is he injured? BTW I'd be shocked if Tootoo doesn't become at least a solid NHL grinder...the guy hits everything in sight and has tons of energy and they say he has great offensive talent as well. Nashville certainly have alot of those energy types with Upshall/Tootoo/Hartnell

yeah Tootoo's still recovering from some slight injury, he missed the first scrimmage game of the training camp because of it, tsn announcers noted that this game was good because Habscheid could rest guys like him a bit who still weren't at full health

1-0 good guys after 1. Upshall with the goal
Wow this team hits every player out there! Tootoo is just freakin' amazing. We need a player like this on the Habs. Someone who will mash everyone

we win 4-0. Totally steamrolled the Czechs. In 2 WJC team canada games I have seen more hits than in all the Habs game COMBINED this year. lol. Looking good

Not sure about his skill level though. But he sure does like running people.

Personally, I didn't see much difference between Hudler and PM Bouchard. Hudler in fact, looked more creative. Hard to justify that 48 place difference in the draft. Krajicek impressed me. Canada looks like a good skating hard working team with a lot of discipline. I didn't see much in the way of stickhandling, on either team. Outside of the Finns, perhaps, only Russia may pose a challenge.

Hudler, IMO, was a total non factor today. Sorry LA but I saw nothing incredible about this guy...he dissapeared in a physical game and had about 2 good offensive shifts all game. He also chickened out when Tootoo went after him. The guy who impressed me on the Czechs was the Taticek kid Florida drafted...big,fast and skilled... and you are right 17, Klepis is nothing special

He also chickened out when Tootoo went after him. The guy who impressed me on the Czechs was the Taticek kid Florida drafted...big,fast and skilled... and you are right 17, Klepis is nothing special I didn't mind Hudler that much, Marc. You're right in that he didn't stand out, but he made a couple of plays that really showed where his strengths lie. On one play, he raced a defenseman to the puck along the left in Canada's zone, and delayed long enough to allow a Czech trailer to come down the middle. The pass was ok if I remember, but nothing resulted from the play. It's not easy, though, to make the defender think of several things to watch for, so that they don't attack you immediately, allowing other teammates to catch up. As far as chickening out, you didn't see Gretzky taking big hits either. If you're Hudler's size, you use your other strengths and avoid your weaknesses. He's no Godzilla. I also think we're tooting Tootoo's horn a bit too much. He injects enthusiasm, but the first time someone really decks him, the rest of the Canadian team will hit a flat spot. Hmm...isn't Tootoo a lot like Asham? Smaller, a hitter, a little lighter, but faster. Team Canada is playing very well as a group. Thinking as a scout, though, there aren't a lot of guys there who I think will have an impact in the NHL. That doesn't diminish their play, or chances of winning the WJC, though. Ian White's a good example...playing very well, but he's a 5' 9" 182 lb defensemen. Who's he going to make it with? Ooops, he's perfect for the Habs, isn't he? Ahhh....I'm still miffed over Habscheid cutting Milroy. How the heck can a guy called HABScheid, cut a Habs prospect? Hope his Kelowna Rockets go down in flames. Klepis actually looked better yesterday than the game I saw him. He fought harder yesterday and showed some checking skills. As you say, though, no plays that made you say "Wow!"

Asham is nothing like TooToo. Asham can't even dream of laying hits like that!
3-1 Canada after 2. They totally dominated the Germans in the 2nd. Looked like a Habs game.

White has the goal for Canada although they gave it to Parenteau...they should chance it though
Tarathukin for Russia. Perezhogin made a nifty pass on the goal.
What pace!

I have seen the future tonight and his name is Korneev. He is already a master at "off the glass" clearing and around the board puck tossing. He should fit right in the Green'egg system. Yes, you heard me right, I said system. How else can one justify Travesty's play? I don't know what to cheer! Perezhogin and Korneev or Canada. *scrathes butt* Okay, Canada wins and our little Ruskies commies get a goal apiece. (Just kidding comrade Dmitry Kusnechev... )
