A one record hit wonder for me. I wore out several copies of this album in high school. A local Montreal band, I later met Marino when I moved there in 1980 and had an opportunity to work with the engineer when we cut a demo. I wish I still had a copy of that.

a one-hitter . . . or is it? some might debate it . . .
[my original did not have "Guess Who" on the cover, just "Chad Allen & The Expressions"

Some of my favourites:
Addrissi Brothers - We've Got to Get it On Again
Alive & Kicking - Tighter and Tighter (brings back memories)
Berlin - Take My Breath Away (I guess the chicks probably dig this!)
Blues Image - Ride Captain Ride (one of my all time favourites - I can listen to this song anytime, although this isn't the best copy of it)
The Castaways - Liar, Liar (a TRUE one-hit wonder)

The Castaways - Liar, Liar (a TRUE one-hit wonder) Hmmm ... Dawn Wells ... she made the news not too long ago after being picked up for possession of pot. Franko, I remember "Yellow River" being a catchy song. Had to watch it all the way through. Cheers.

Some more real one-hit wonders:
Count Five - Psychotic Reaction
Desmond Dekker - The Israelites
The Hollywood Argyles - Alley Oop
The Cascades - Rythym of the Rain
The Swingin' Blue Jeans - Hippie Hippie Shake (don't be surprised if you think these guys sound like the early Beatles - they actually performed with the Beatles and this song was recorded by the Beatles on the album Live at the BBC before the Swingin' Blue Jeans released it)
The Nashville Teens - Tobacco Road (despite their name, a British band with a pretty good "one-hit")

Man, forgot all about "THe Israelites"!
Was thinkin' Mungo Jerry and "In the Summertime" but he's supposed to have had a song 'that I've never heard!" go to number 5 in Canada so that wipes that one out!
Pick just about any disco song, too, it seems -- Alicia Keys "I Love the Night Life" would be on the top [bottom?] of the list.

Loved "The Midnight Special" and "In Concert"
"Your Mama Don't Dance" may or may not make it into this thread too.
And "Immigration Man" is Graham Nash's only solo hit [we'll ignore his work with CSNY]
