Oskari Korpikari missed a good part of the second half of the season due to military commitments back home in Finland, but he has returned to Karpat's junior team for their playoff run. He currently leads all scorers on his team with 5 pts (1g 4a) in 5 games. Pretty incredible since he isn't really known for his offence and hasn't really produced much in the way of points in the sm-liiga, so I guess he is padding his stats in the junior ranks. I sure hope management takes a serious look at getting this guy over to Hamilton next season. All that experience in the top mens league in Finland is great for a guy who just turns 21 this year. www.sm-liiga.fi/finhockey2/sjl_tulospalvelu_stat.asp?TID=1451&joukkue=1389&tilasto=joukkueporssit&porssi=1&laaja=1

In games earlier today, both Perezhogin and Grabovski found the back of the net and continued on their torrid scoring pace of late. Grabovski is in 13th and Perezhogin in 21st in the RSL scoring race.

Perezhogin and Grabovski's teams went head to head in the final RSL regular season game. Both players came up pointless, which is a rarity with this duo of late. Emelin and Korneev also saw action, and Puurula was on the wrong end of a 8-1 shellacking.
Alex finishes tied for 20th in RSL scoring despite not playing the full season, and Mikhail ends up in 14th.
All prospects are now heading to the playoffs (except Puurula) as Lada, Avangard, Ak Bars all head to the post-season. Markov and Kovalev also are heading to the playoffs as well.
