@grantmccagg: As expected... multiple teams invited Nathan Noel to dev. camps including MTL, but he decided on Anaheim. Don't mind 5'11" players if the have a résumé like Nathan Noel ... how was this guy not drafted ... Cheers. One report I read on him was first round talent, eighth round hockey sense and compete level. |

@markofznfutures Canadiens invite Angelo Miceli to development camp An undersized overager who put up 96 points with Victoriaville. Possible minor pro depth guy (AHL/ECHL contract option). Good invites this year. Leveille is a wall and Hunt put up 83 points in the Hat in his draft eligible year. With only five picks this draft, it makes sense to bring in some guys who are still draft eligible but were not picked. If the Habs really like them ,they can sign them before September and have the contract slide once they go back to juniors. Will only count against the 50 contract limit once they play pro. A bit of a gamble as you commit to a player whose development could stall, but it can help stock the prospect pool a bit for "free". |

The Habs have invited Matthew Bradley’s teammate, Markus Eisenschmid as per Bradley on TSN 690, who put up 44 points in 50 games with the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Not too long ago a guy named Tyler Johnson was a invite just like this...u never know You are absolutely correct. 96 points is nothing to sneeze at. He scored 35 or more goals in each of his three last seasons in the Q. Worth a look for sure. |

Mario Huber, a big RW from Austria who turns 19 in August and was just selected by Victoriaville in the CHL Import Draft has received an invite.
Habs being a bit more creative this year with its invites. We seemed to just see NCAA players in the past and a few odd guys from the Q.
Nothing may come of it, but at least they are making a solid effort.
