The most unbelievable inning of baseball I've ever seen.

AFAIC, spirit of the rule or no, Choo's bat was in the way. After the pitch, the bat is against his body. Russell checks the runner at third, and while looking left Choo extends his arm. The bat may have been in the box, but it's still in the way. Russell doesn't it see it, and throws as if it was still against the body of the player.

Players celebrating with the fans....spraying booze into the front few rows.....never seen that before. Stroman said they did it because the fans deserve it, they need it, they've been waiting a long time. "We feed off it....keep being rowdy! We love it!"I expect we'll see KEEP BEING ROWDY signs next series. Kawasaki's hilarious. DON'T THINKING! JUST SWING! JUST THROW! JUST CATCH! DON'T THINK, EVERYBODY! JUST WIN! But where's Toe Blake when you need him? A comeback and a deciding game for the ages....BUT....you haven't won anything yet, boys.

One down, two to go. Dickey was the first to start running around high fiving fans. Classy guy. I think they all know, as a group, that there's still a long way to go. Eyes are on the prize.

Unbelievable emotion at the Dome ... don't think I've ever seen a better ball game ... came back after being down two games ... Roberto Osuna ... the cameras were good at catching the faces of the players ... some of them looked overwhelmed ... three successive errors to load the bases ... that's pressure, man ... then there's Kevin Pilar and Joey Bats ... unbelievable game ...
Cheers.

Those two fielding plays by Goins were outstanding, too. Those balls get through the infield, who knows?
Everybody contributed in Game 5.

soon to be found in the "historical pictures" thread. That's where I wanted to put it, but I couldn't find a frame-by-frame shot ... I don't know if I've ever seen a more emotionally-laced game ... I have the Game-5, 1993 Cup win at the Forum somewhere and it must have been noisy then but yesterday's game just topped it all ... unbelievable camera work in showing the emotions on the faces of the players ... Cheers.

I'm really hoping they can carry that emotion over with Kansas City ... by the way, what is the Jays' slogan they keep chanting ... it was a quote from Kawasaki and they're using it in a fun sort of way ... edit: They were chanting it after they won the regular season ... Cheers.

Goins is a gold glove caliber player. Pillar should win for center field this year, no question.

DON'T THINK, EVERYBODY! JUST WIN!" He began with: "I WANT TWO MORE BUSH PARTY!" in reference to his "bush party" statement after clinching in Baltimore. Maybe that's the phrase that's being chanted. Stroman said: KEEP BEING ROWDY! I would expect a few signs of that nature from here on in. Another topic: I've found it odd over the years that MLB is the only North American professional league in which the teams do not exchange handshakes or other cordialities after a playoff series. Not even the managers meet. NBA and NFL: on-court/field good-natured milling about. Coaches congratulate/offer condolence to each other. NHL: coaches meet right away…then join the players in official handshakes. Yes, there's always the "Lucic" factor...but they still do it. In baseball, some on the losing team sit and watch in disappointment, then it's right back to the clubhouse. The managers offer "official" congratulations/condolence in an interview….but that's about it. Not sure about MLS, but in European Football, I've seen jersey exchanges among other gestures of sportsmanship. Baseball seems to be childish in that regard.

Pillars most outstanding catch wasn't even a catch. He had one play where he was twisting, had to jump, caught the ball on the tip of his glove and it popped out when he hit the ground. It was incredible and will never count.
Osuna sure looks like he's falling asleep when he's out there.
I was most pleased with the fact Stroman (24) started, Sanchez (23) relieved him and then Osuna (20) closed things off. Good lessons for Berg and Therrien. Give the kids responsibility and if they have talent they'll reward you.
U.S. Viewers are learning about the Jays.
So glad they overcame that unlucky error. It may have been within the rules but was totally unworthy. I wonder if that affected the Rangers? No one likes to win a game in that manner. Poor Andrus. I hate that to happen to any person. Two errors and a contribution to a third.

I'm thinking I might have saw it on an interview with Kawasaki where he meant to say "we are hot" and the players picked up on it ... I could be wrong about that, but I remember chuckling to myself when I heard it ... Cheers.

So much for my comment about managers not meeting on the field after a series.
Just saw Collins and Mattingly exchange a handshake/hug after the Mets advanced.
Mets-Cubs....a classic.

I saw that and chortled. The announcer seemed to think that was incredibly classy when it's just SOP in most other sports.
