Honestly, Harry Clinton is no better. She was intimately involved in her husband's presidency and had a part to play in the terrible decisions made during his administration. Look up "Glass Steagall". Clinton's repeal of that lead directly the greedy bankers taking over, the mortgage scandals at the end of the Bush administration, etc. Harry's as fiscally conservative as they come. She's got plenty of friends on Wall Street.
I think Keith Olbermann's rant a few years ago says all you need to know about the type of person Harry is.
If the prelims were more based on public vote than delegates and those with power, I firmly believe Sanders would have won the left by a landslide. He's got a climb, but there's a HUGE groundswell of support - that isn't getting covered by even the leftist media. If he can win California, he'll squeak by her. He's doing it without superpacs. He's doing it as if he was running on a kickstarter campaign.

Was reading an article on the plane last month, they figured that if Trump ran against Hillary for President that he would win by a landslide, however, if he ran against Sanders, Sanders would probably edge him out. I think the only ones that want Hillary to win are the TV media.

The Clinton's political path is a House of Cards unto itself. Christopher Hitchens wrote a book on it, which I've yet to read. I've read and re-read the Hitchens book on Kissinger - The Trial of Henry Kissinger. He writes convincingly on events in places like Bangladesh and Indonesia among others. I came away thinking this man is a criminal, why isn't anything being done? I think the bottom line is that there is no real evidence, nothing that would stand up in court. One may be able to connect the dots and make a case but in the end it gets swatted away by powerful individuals who move on with their reputations in tact. This is probably the case with his Clinton material.

"Hillary is the most qualified to be President in my lifetime" .... Really? Sounds like Meathead wants the rights to the movie.
Those MSNBC hosts are asshats , and it is entirely the media coverage and lack of questions with substance that has allowed Trump to win the Republican Nomination.
I'm still hoping for an independent candidate to split the vote, and for a Miracle indictment so Hillary can't run

That whole presidential race is more of an audition than it is an election (ref: RM) ... leaving the audition aside, Hillary Clinton cannot be trusted with 'materials vital to the security of (the US) and its allies' ... one look at the released emails on the Benghazi scandal will tell you everything, but at the same time it wouldn't surprise me if she walked away from it unscathed ... Donald Trump doesn't try to cover up that he's full of crap ... just listen to him talk ... everything that comes out of his mouth is moronic but everyone knows it, including him and he could still win the presidency ...
Cheers.

Was talking to a Political Science teacher yesterday over coffee, and of course the topic lead to Trump and Clinton. She was saying that "when" Trump wins the election, that he would use his influence to make Trudeau do pretty much whatever he wanted including closing Canada's boarders to Muslims.
She said there wouldn't be much we could do to stop it either, he'd just close the borders between us, trade, flights everything you could imagine. Sports team wouldn't be able to travel into or out of Canada, etc.
I mentioned that it would hurt the US not to be able to get our exports, wood, oil food etc. But, she figured that it would only take the threat to do so to make things happen. This could get interesting.

As far as being threatened in the past, we have been many times, just not all made public.

I had the pleasure of spending an unexpected day in a Boise Idaho hospital a few months ago. It was humourous in a grizzly sort of way to have hospital employees asking me what we thought of Trump in Canada. The residents I spoke to about Trump were very much against him. Idaho is a Republican state, but I think Boise itself might be more left leaning. In any case, I replied that the Canadians I had discussed Trump with, were both entertained and fearful. These hospital employees were concerned themselves and very much against Trump. Remember, these are educated, thinking people.
The true question in this election is: Are there more smart, questioning people in the US than ignorant lambs. No matter how angry you are at the current state of affairs, electing someone like Trump is only going to make the situation worse. He's a failure. He doesn't even twist facts to suit him, he simply ignores facts and spouts whatever he feels like saying. He keeps telling us that his opponents are all stupid. He also tells us that he himself is so incredibly smart, despite failing in so many endeavours. If you and I had simply taken the money he got from his parents and stuck it a stock market index, we'd have twice the money he has now (based on estimates of what he has now, which no one has really verified). Trump tells us over and over that he's incredibly rich, but being skeptical me, I'd like him to prove it, which he hasn't. In my experience, truly rich people don't have to flaunt it, and don't. When was the last time you heard Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and the Queen of England tell us how rich they are?
No, Trump is a fraud, but despite that, many many US citizens are unhappy with their lot and find in him someone who they think can solve their problems. The ignorant can indeed make one bad decision after another.

Trump was not my first or second or third choice to lead the party against the disastrous Obama/Clinton democrats. While I am disappointed that this great nation can not come up with better candidates for leadership, I accept the reality we find ourselves in. Trump is so much better than lying Hillary or crazy Bernie. He will undo all the damage that Obama has done and make the country a better place. Trump is a master of multitasking. How he finds the time to build buildings, design golf courses, run casinos and oversee a multitude of businesses is amazing. He gets things done. Unlike president Carter, he isn't the smartest man but he surrounds himself with competent advisors and good executives. He leads projects and they get done. He gets consensus from government, stakeholders, businesses, diplomats, beuracrats and whoever is needed to accomplish his projects. He is a smart man, not eloquent or tactful, but he gets the difficult job done. He defeated all the supposedly brilliant politicians to win his parties nomination. He is a winner. When he is elected the world will not end. He will be a tough negotiator, end uncontrolled border crossing, stop immigration of terrorists, end Obamacare the worst implementation of a horrible plan, reduce taxes. spur the economy, reduce the debt, end the release of terrorists from Guantanimo. restore law and order in urban city streets and get the country back to work. Welfare should not be a career choice and third generation of single welfare mothers must end. We need to improve education for our citizens, not pay to educate every child that sneaks across the border. Global warming is not the biggest problem facing the country. Radical Islam is more dangerous than a one degree increase in temperature. 19,000 years ago we were in an ice age and New York city was covered by a glacier a mile thick. The planet warmed up and not because Neandertals were driving SUV's. The earths orbit, sunspots, volcanic emissions, solar output, the galactic plane all have a more profound impact on climate than fossil fuels. To think man controls weather and climate is self aggrandizing and wrong. Obama has polarized this country far more than Trump could. Why do Asian children succeed in the same inner city schools that some races say are stacked against them. They study harder and their families place a higher value on education. The problem is cultural and continuation of the welfare culture perpetuates the system. Trump will get my vote. I hope it will be enough to change what is wrong. I have an AR15. It never killed anyone and it never will. Taking away my gun will not take away the guns from the bad guys nor will it make me safer. When I lived in Canada I never had a gun nor did I need one. It's different down here.

Trump may be correct on a few issues….but there's no way he has world stage knowledge and the necessary diplomacy….no way….
If he gets elected, he'd better surround himself with people who have tons more intelligence and tact because, acting alone, he's an escalator…a loose cannon…
The first time he goes on TV and refers to the President of Russia as Poo-poo-Putin….oh man…..
What a remarkably farcical election….

What a remarkably farcical election…. I share many of your views. He lacks diplomacy and he's a loose cannon. He does surround himself with more intelligent people and it's hard for them to have less tact than he does. If diplomacy means going to Iran and when they say "Death to America" the diplomatic answer should not be "OK that's a starting point for negotiations!" I would rather have the Donald negotiating for me than Kerry groveling for a deal, any deal. I am disappointed that the Republicans have not rallied around Trump despite all his flaws. Hillary would be so much worse. More diplomatic but so much worse.

The fact that so many republicans are turning on him tells me there might be some slim sliver of common sense left in some Republicans. Thinking back to the movie "the dead zone", I can't help but think that Trump is exactly the kind of psychopath that should be killed before he takes power and wreaks havoc on mankind, both inside and outside of the US.

He knows how to make money, I'll give him that ... [/quote] You shouldn't. Given the fortune he got started with, he'd be just as rich if he'd just invested it all in an all-cap index fund. And given that he didn't just get cash from his father, but also plenty of contacts and an implicit assurance against bankruptcy in his first few years, he really underperformed the market significantly. He's good at building a brand, but not actually making money. Most of the Trump-branded buildings out there don't even belong to him, he just brings brand recognition. Other than Trump University, that apparent fraud was all his.

Thankfully polls seem to show people are realizing he's a lying fraud with a penchant for building up his brand with simplistic solutions, and not someone with the temparement, experiences or qualifications to run the largest economy in the world. To me, Trump is a bigger scale version of Don Cherry - a guy who builds up a reputation that isn't backed on much, "says it like it is" by lying and not caring if he's caught, but really has very little substance when you look at him with any actual attention. One day, AR15s will be banned and the US will be a better place. And I really don't like Hillary.

He's doing what the Republicans do best ... make you afraid of it and tell you who's to blame for it ... the thing is, people like him because he says what many have on their minds ... They'll have to first remove a lot of the influence the NRA has ... then they'll have to change their cultural paradigm from a wild west mentality (shooting someone because they trespassed by going through your field three acres away is over the top) to a more contemporary one ... it won't be easy and it won't happen overnight, but it needs to be addressed ... Buffoons like Trump and Clinton are examples of just how much traditional politics in the US has fallen ... I'm surprised Putin hasn't gone into another country by now ... the American political landscape is leaderless and I'm not so sure either the Dynamic Duo or Bernie Saunders have the wherewithal to stop him ... Cheers.
