Just from the first clip, Reway and Lindgren stood out.

Reway looked nonchalant as he deked out the goalie on his 'breakaway'. Ho-hum. Very confident. Wil Bitten showed good acceleration to get open and then beat Fucale.

He skated away from his back checkers and seemingly deked Fucale out without much effort. I agree, he barely seemed to have to break a sweat.

Not surprised at all ... he flat-out denied saying he had been approached by the organization before ... now he`s in the ice helping out with prospects ... #lipserviceCheers.

A player by player report from yesterday by JeromeHP from HF boards:
Some thoughts from today scrimmage
-Bitten was great, tons of speed and hustle. Always on the puck, great on the forecheck...always on the puck.
-Hawkey and Lindgren were both great today. Lindgren easiy the top G prospect. Older than most players here but look great today.
-Scherback: 3rd year i see him at this camp and keeps getting bigger each year, solid on his skate and went to the net hard today..tough to contain. He made a great feed to Bitten for the first goal of the day. Both played well together.
-Gregoire: Score some goals today and as usual with him worked hard and was involved all over the ice. Skating still an issue for me to one day maybe become a nhler. He had the hit of the day on Reway.
-Mete & Juulsen: Paired together and did well, Juulsen smart player who made good decision with the puck and good reads. Played with a full mask not sure why...Mete footspeed is ridiculous, was involved in the offense a lot in 4 on 4 and 3 on 3. Those scrimmages are perfect for him to use his skills and speed.
-Fucale: Didn't pay too much attention to goaltender but Fucale would probably want some of those goals back, i think one by Gregoire was pretty weak. It's a big year for him with a lot of competition with Lindgren full time AHLer now.
-Sergachev: A bit timid in the game, made some nice play offensively. You can see the potential is there but didn't stand out today. He got caught off the ice and i believe Bitten beat him outside. Didn't see him use his big shot from the point.
-Reway: Well those type of games are definitely going to favor him, his skills are top notch. Didn't dominate as much as i would have predicted though. Score a nice goal on the penalty shot as seen in the video. Very smooth puck handler and skater. Got frustrated on one occasion after he got hit hard by Gregoire. Individual skills are great but didn't distribute puck good enough for me today (flashback to his Gatineau days)
-Penzetta: I liked him , good worker along the board and involved physically. He showed a strong and heavy shot during the game. Not a super skill guy but 4th liner is a possiblity with him.
-Vejdemo: I was looking for to get to see him, didn't stand out too much in the game. He had some chances here and there but thought his shot was a bit weak. Want to see more from him the rest of the week.
-McCarron: Not great today, not the type of game he's going to look good anyway. His skill level overall is average but he become useful in real game situation with his size/strength and reach down low. Though his skating was sluggish today, not great edge and agility. Funny story, always felt his skating look bad in july but when i see him in september or on tv in NHL it's not as bad (July hockey !) He played in the 2nd game of the day and no one really stood out other than Hudon...a lot of broken plays.
-Hudon: Best player in game 2 (played C). Skill level is high and looked stronger than what i remember in last year camp. He was tough to knock down and did a good puck protecting the puck. Hockey Sense is great and makes everyone better around him. He was determined to make an impact today.
-Poulin: Tough first period but came alive in the 2nd period and start making things happen on the ice. Big strong kid, skating is just average and not the best hockey sense/vision but down low he's very good. Scored 25 goals with Sherbrooke this past season, i think he can get 30-35 next season.
-Bourque: He used his mobility well today, moved the puck well on transition. Liked his game today.
-Bobyk: Another invitee that i like, he played well with Bourque on the backend. You can see he has nice offensive flair and has a good one-timer from the point. Good size too.
-Henrikson: Big kid with decent mobility. didn't stand out too much but love the size and moblity and that can translate well to the pro. Rest of camp if go back i will pay more attention to his play with the puck.
-Audette: Noticed him because of his speed and made couple of nice rush in the game. Other than that he was not too noticeable. lack of hockey sense hurts him in some areas and he's awfully small. play without the puck still not really good. My guess he starts in ECHL.
-Fortier: He made some nice play in the neutral zone with his anticipation blocking passes and creating turnovers. He had some chances but didn't finish his plays or couldn't get his shot on net more quickly.
-Palmu: Maybe the best invitee today, good skill level. Makes things happen on the ice with his great speed and great hockey sense. Very small player at 5-7 174lbs. Good skater and more than likely will have a nice career in Europe but could be a useful in AHLer . Not big but got involved in the tougher areas today, love his creativity with the puck on his stick.

Thanks for the follow-up and providing these reports NWT. I appreciate them while keeping in mind one can't base a great deal on what transpires. It's just nowhere near real game conditions. It's really hard to gauge a players vision and decision making ability in these camps.

It's really hard to gauge a players vision and decision making ability in these camps. Nothing these kids do this week will make or break their careers, that's for sure. It is fun to be able to talk a little bit of real prospects hockey talk in the summer though. It also gives some folks a bit more exposure to the prospects that we have in the pipeline.

Sergachev apparently had 3 goals today. Yup, and Hudon had a couple too. I saw clips of Sergachev's penalty shot goal and his end to end goal (it is a nice goal...what hands and what skating). Hard to think of this kid as a recently turned 18 year old in a 6'3" 223 lb man's body. I am sure someone will have highlights of the scrimmages up later today just like they did on day one.

The end to end was nice. I couldn't tell who the defender was. Tall drink, right handed on the left side. #81?

I think what happened to him was he is a gym rat. In junior pure strength can overcome lot of minuses. But playing against 25 year-olds that advantage is not the same

It will be interesting to see how he does this season.
