Anxious to get a look at Bitten. He could be steal of draft Just on the way Marc Bergevin describes him, it sounds like he could be another Mike Keane ... that wouldn't be too bad ... Cheers. Could be another Gallagher also.

Bitten is fast. That will go a long way to help him succeed.

Lets not get too excited folks. Pittsburgh has one of the weaker talent pipelines, so beating them is not that indicative of anything. A better gauge will be against the baby Leafs as they do have some talent.

... don't know who the siv is he walked around but Nikita Scherback scores a pretty slick goal ...
Good moves...looks like the guy we drafted not the guy who played last year. Is he back on wing? Or are they trying him at center again

Or are they trying him at center again I knew they were developing both Michael McCarron and Charles Hudon as centres, but I never knew they were trying him at centre ... why not, I guess ... wouldn't mind seeing a few of the kids make the cut this year, but there seems to be only so many jobs ... Marc Bergevin seems to always be in the news ... he's always on the phones for whatever ... he's got that lower-6 sorted out but he's got to address the top-2 lines ... hope Artturi Lehkonen lives up to his hype ... Saku Koivu seems convinced he's the real deal ... let's say Lehkonen makes the team at 2nd-line LW ... what other jobs are available after that ... Cheers.

That Sherbak goal reminds me of the famous Balej goal... not necessarily a good thing, it's the kind of dipsy-doodling that can work against a kid but won't allow a guy to produce in the big leagues. It does show some awesome skill though.

4-3 Leaf kiddies over Hab kiddies. Fucale in net. Goals by Audette, Lehkonen and McCarron. Tourney wraps up tomorrow afternoon against the Sens. I am guessing McNiven gets the start as each of the other two have had a game.

I didn't see the game but am interested in knowing if yhe Keafs rested more 'better' players than the Habs. I gather Juulsen wasn't dressedand a couple of others. Nylander wasn't dressed for TO. Who else? Tks.

Scherbak and newbie defender Victor Mete with two helpers last night. That top line of McC, Lehkonen and Scherbak having a good tourney to date. Hope they can keep it up against the Sens and into main camp.

Sergachev seems to read the play well on the rush, ala Karlsson. Check this goal out:

Thanks for the video, Matt. That helper of Sergachev's was really impressive. I keep harping on how important speed is in today's NHL, and that was one impressive display of speed and power. That Leaf defenseman had no idea how fast Sergachev was going and that Leaf backchecker was eating dust in the defensive zone when Sergachev pulled away from him. We should be lighting votive candles to Columbus for taking Dubois at #3. That started the dominoes that led to Sergachev being available at #9. Otherwise he's gone at #4 to Edmonton. Considering their defense, and how Sergachev is looking now, they might have been better off taking Sergachev than Puljujarvi. Wow, that play was amazing. Now if he can learn to play as well in his own end as he does offensively, we have another Norris Trophy candidate on our hands.

On that goal he scored last night, the Leaf guy checking him was in perfect position, but when the puck was passed in front, McCarron just outmuscled him to get his stick on the puck and rifle it in. I wonder if he isn't a bit stronger this year

Normally our defensemen would try to find the open forward along the wall to chip the puck to, but Sergachev just takes right off. He likely won't get that much space in the NHL, but the fact that he saw that he could go--and how he just went--speaks volumes.
