I wish he wouldn't; he mentionned Sergachëv as being a potential NHL right away.... while I'd love to see him earn a spot in camp, he doesn't need that kind of pressure. No one does.

That's what I thought too. And he's the director of player development?... Not that he's wrong, but it's poor judgment imo to share that with Montreal media.

I think the brain trust really, really wants him to make it. Validation of a sort.

Hayden McCool has to make this team. I have not been this excited about a player's name since Josh DeWolf.

That's a good handle. I like Eisenschmid, for no particular reason.
Ok, I do have a reason. I'd really like to hear Bob Cole try and pronounce his name.

No one will ever top Foster Hewitt's pronunciation of the Roadrunner's name - Ivan Cornwire. During the '72 Series, Foster got a lot closer by calling him: "Kern-OY-ay" in Game 2. And "Corn-WHY-ay" in Game 8.

Habs play Pittsburgh a 3:30 ET for their first rookie tournament match today. Game is on TSN 690 radio for those who wish/can sneak a listen. I think the Leafs games are being televised by Leafs TV and/or Rogers in the TO area.
The scratches vs Pens are Mete, Henrikson, Zipp, Asselin, Eansor, McCool, and McNiven. Lindgren to start in goal, Fucale riding shotgun. McCarron is wearing the "C" and Gregoire, Lernout and Lehkonen get the "A".

The guys you'd expect to be better today, were. McCarron had a couple of goals and an assist, Juulsen a goal and 2 assists, Scherbak with one and 2, Lehkonen with 3 assists. Johnston was also very good with 2 goals. Final score was 8-3 I believe.
