Pitlick had a goal and assist last night, and has an assist half way through today’s game. I would say his 26 points in 31 games (not including today’s game in progress) is a bit underwhelming, so he likely needs to pick it up a bit before heading to Minnesota next season in the NCAA.
Here are highlights of last night’s game. He is #14 in purple. I was not able to find a video just of his points, but the short highlights video has a few other cool things: painted ice promo, a goalie scrapping with a forward, and said goalie knocking down a pyramid of empty beer cans (you will see). Making American junior hockey great again.

Nice little deception on Harris’ PP assist tonight.

Found some Pitlick highlights. Since I don’t post much on him, here are his three points (1+2) from last weekend. #14 in purple.

Gordin with 2 assists in SKA-1946’s 4-0 win. Their lineup has been bolstered a tad with some junior guys returned from SKA Neva, their VHL team, who finished outside the playoffs. Pretty strange to see hot shot goalie Askarov playing junior hockey again. The MHL regular season ends this week, so then it will be playoffs for SKA.
This is Gordin’s second assist...a really nice feed from below the goal line.

Farrell is now the all time points leader in Steel history. One goal and an assist tonight. Watched two periods, he is legit.

Never saw this vid before from the 2019 draft Thanks for posting. That was an interesting video. It sure seems like the Habs scouts go in with a select few players that they really like on their list, and a boat full of draftees that they don't care to even think of. Basically, if their guy is available they keep the pick, and if he's gone they trade down.

Guhle made his debut as PA’s captain last night, with a big 6-3 win. He had an assist and played a lot, as one would imagine. The game was noteworthy as Uber-prospect 15 year old Connor Bedard made his WHL Debut and scored two of Regina’s 3 goals. He is not eligible until the 2023 draft and is the WHL’s first kid granted exceptional status. He was named the first star of the game.
Here is Guhle’s assist. A huge blast from the point that was tipped in front.

Green Bay snuck by Chicago tonight 3-2, but little #26 was in on both Steel goals. One goal and an assist for the league’s top point and assist dude.

Northeastern’s season is over with a loss in today’s conference playoffs. Now the Harris watch is on to see if he and the Habs agree to an ELC, and get him to Laval who could use a boost on D right now.

Even though the OHL is not even off the ground yet, our Euro prospects are either in or heading into playoff mode.
Gordin was eased back on the fourth line after missing the first two games of SKA’s 1/8 final series due to injury. He ripped home a goal and added an assist to help his team advance to the quarter finals.
Olofsson fired home a PP goal yesterday and had an assist on the previous game this weekend, as Timra locked up top spot in the regular season. They await a play-in round opponent to start their quarter final series later.
Norlinder has had some up and down outings, as Frölunda has been stumbling towards the playoffs lately. They will need to pick things up or their post season, once it starts, will be short.
Ikonen’s team Ilves is right on the cusp of either a quarter final spot or being one of the four teams to play a play-in 1/8 series. The next few games will determine their fate.
Dichow’s season is done in Denmark and he only played in a handful of games. Those were still more games than he would have played with Sudbury in the OHL to date though.

Big10 tournament finals tonight featured Minnesota vs Wisconsin. Minny was up 5-1 after two, and the Badgers stormed back to within one with two minutes left. Unfortunately, Minnesota prevailed 6-4. Caufield had the late goal to get them within one.
Both teams will qualify got the NCAA tournament at the end of the month. The four regionals will be announced on the weekend.

Never saw this vid before from the 2019 draft Thanks Willie. Always good to get a feel for animals in their natural environment. I enjoyed looking at the behaviours of the guys. Timmins was really serious the entire time, while Bergevin not so much. That doesn't mean Berg didn't give a hoot, but more that the draft is Timmins' responsibility and he's the guy who has to be focused. Berg less so except for considering trades. I found it interesting that Bergevin often asked Timmins his opinion about particular deals. For example, the offer to move a late second for a third and fifth (or something like that). Timmins immediately shook his head 'no'. My guess is that his guy (Norlinder I believe) was going to be available at spot 'X' but not 14 selections later. Also I found it interesting that Berg was into the junk food and Timmins was definitely not. Berg was rather fun loving, wasn't he? Or at least I got that impression. He was enjoying the day. I also found it interesting that Julien didn't have a clue about the guys they were drafting. He was told about Caufield and had his attributes described to him. That's not a negative but I wonder if the managing positions are highly compartmentalized? I am not a fan of silos. I think there's something to be gained by sharing of information. I know of an investment firm (a very good one) that takes this extremely seriously. They moved from a building on which they occupied 3 floors to one where everyone was on one floor, to encourage discussion and informal talk. It's enlightening to notice how often one department can get an idea from another department even when their roles vary. Even Bergevin wasn't that knowledgeable about the available players, calling them by position rather than by name. Scouting and development are favourite issues of mine so I might be more sensitive than most, but I'd think a GM should have a better memory about draftees than it looked like Bergevin did. Especially coming from a scouting background as he did. Must be too busy working out the biceps.

Especially coming from a scouting background as he did. Must be too busy working out the biceps. I would at least expect Timmins to have a list of players for the 1st and 2nd round they are targeting and that it has been shared with Berg.....He should know of the 8 to 10 guys who might be available around our pick in the 1st round as a minimum, the 2nd round should also be known... everything after that is a real crapshoot Berg looked like he was having too good of a time... Clod looked like Clod... Timmins has full control on draft day and I think that is the way Berg likes it, which is interesting since the impression I had all along was that Berg surrounded himself with Yes men and buddies....
