Montreal is resting and waiting for Pittsburgh who play tonight in Toronto. Almost a third of the Pens' skaters are age 34+ so back to back games could be a physical grind for some of those guys.
I am sure Matheson would like to square off against his old mates, but apparently it could be another 2-3 weeks before he is ready. Anderson served his suspension so I imagine Pezzetta is the odd man out. It will be interesting to see if St. Louis keeps Hoffman with Dvorak and Gallagher, given how he seems to be clicking right now. Hopefully Anderson bumps Dadonov or Drouin down to the fourth line because those two have accomplished nothing with Monahan.

With Hoffman regaining his confidence and scoring touch, is it Dadonov’s turn alongside Monahan and Anderson? Hope so.

Drouin on the 4th line! Has that ever happened before. This is a slow and painful journey into oblivion. Of course he'll probably get some PP time as he has shown over and overt again he is a PP specialist

Did it go in off his butt? No matter. Anything to up his trade value.

Did it go in off his butt? No matter. Anything to up his trade value. Wrist shot from the point, after getting the puck along the boards and skating to the middle to open a shooting lane

MSL must see something I don’t … Drouin and Hoffman on the point on a PP is just a recipe for disaster

Caufield is having some issues coralling that puck tonight

Petry should have received two for embellishment.

Pretty listless to start the second. No energy at all. And it's 2-1

Gallagher and Dvorak turn a promising rush into nothing.

Dvorak, Gallagher and Hoffman to start the PP with predictable results.

The power play is awful.
Pittsburgh is got outplayed last night and widely outplayed thus far tonight. And yet they probably will walk out of a road back to back with four points. Hockey is strange sometimes.

You're probably right. It doesn't help that there are 4 guys - Drouin, Dadonov, Evans and Armia - who still have not scored a goal this year. And Dvorak's 3 goals came in the same game.
If Suzuki's line doesn't score the chances at generating offense are slim.

There is no way that's interference
Dach was doing everything to avoid contact and Jarry jumps up to initiate contact m he has been doing that all night

Im shocked. I thought the contact with Dach was enough for them to call it back.

I'll keep saying it until MSL does something ....why is Drouin on the PP. He is a hindrance to success
