MSL is getting close!!!!
Just switch Slafkovsky and Dadonov and by Jove he will have it!

Nooooooo!!
Keep Slaf as far from Anderson as you can. I like him on that second line as is. Gallagher causes some chaos and Dvorak is a good finisher. Was Hoffman on that line before? Either he's close to being traded, or he's in Marty's dog house. The dog house is hard to find cause all you have to do is listen and follow his advice. Oh well, I'm not disappointed. I'm only surprised it took this long.

Swap Dvorak and Monahan And it looks like Harris and Xhekaj will be playing musical chairs I'd put Xhekaj on the 4th line in place of non contact armia... let wifi strike fear in D men

Hoffman is injured, apparently lower body. Slafkovsky, in the middle six, is getting a decent upgrade so I am looking forward to see what he can do.
As long as he is on Montreal's roster Harris will need to get games here and there, so a rotation is inevitable unless management comes to the conclusion he needs to work on some things in Laval.
Buffalo is riding an eight game losing streak and they are bottom five in team defense, goaltending, and penalty kill.

If I was a Sabres fan I think I would be at the point where I feel there is no hope This team never improves.
No playoffs, high picks, perennially bad.

Which I'm fine with as they all get to play and they will all still play more hockey than they ever have in their lives. As for Buff, they do have some talent and they are certainly due. This is the perfect trap game.

Finally we take a step forward in the rebuild: No Drouin and No Hoffman in the line-up. This is a win win win. No lazy, indifferent players, a PP without turnover machines, and Slafs finally getting some line mates and hopefully PP time. Last time we had neither of them in the line-up we went to the Cup Finals. I am pumped.

Harris-wideman in
Xhekaj-Kovacevic out

Lots of nepotism going on there What qualifies you to be a scout? “I have a relative that played in the NHL “ . You’re hired No wonder some drafts are real lean

Once again Allen beat on first shot. Every time

Jake Allen does that slide on the ice like Price used to ....it works for neither of them.
2-0 Buffalo, the game is not 1 min old yet

Wideman trying to play like X and start a fight with Jost. Sad display of lightweights. Not really a fight

Three shots ... three goals
3-0 BUF
Game is just over 2 mins old
Jake Allen sucks this year. Can't believe Sam Montembeault is our great hope

Gallagher not only can't score, but now he is stopping Andersons shot from going in

Slafkovsky looks like a fish out of water on the PP .... he has to think "shoot shoot shoot" .... he keeps trying to make that one little move to pretty the play

These elbows wouldn't happen if #72 was in the lineup

Another dumb rule in the NHL
Draw blood with your stick = 4 mins
Draw blood with your elbow = 2 mins

If MTL's PP wasn't so disjointed, it would be a pretty close game

Kaiden Guhle's assist was his 8th point this year, ties him for 41st on the Habs rookie defenseman scoring list with
Sean Hill - 1992-93 Mike Lalor - 1985-86 Doug Harvey - 1947-48

The lack of secondary scoring is really evident this game .... how many grade A chances did they not convert that period??

Kovacevic is not rugged per se, but the blue line loses a lot of size and muscle with him and Xhekaj out.
Allen is struggling. Montembeault's heater seems to be over too. Average to bad play in net will definitely make 75 points a ceiling for this group and realistically it could be more like 68-70.

Three goals on three shots in the first 2:13 of the game.
Then they realized the secret to their success, do not let Buffalo shoot.
The last 17:47 of the period, they limited Buffalo to 7 shots
