Congrats to CC for hitting the 20 mark again. I believe he is the third Hab to do it in his first two seasons. (Lafleur, Richer) ** Actually scratch that ... Ryder scored 20 in his first two seasons too. Must be the third to do it before age 23. |

Hoffman is good at absolutely nothing... Drouin is good at absolutely nothing 2 negatives do not make a positive That 3rd goal started with Hoffman panicking and just giving the puck away on a freebie. No effort required on Washington’s part. Then the worst is letting that a$$ Ovechkin score. |

Evans' contract is not problematic or anything like that, but yeah he has basically proved he cannot play in the middle six.
With all the injuries, Harris will not be getting any respite. However, he really looks like the season is wearing him down. If and when enough guys get healthy, a stint in the AHL to decompress and hone his craft would not be a bad thing.

Frankly I think he’s lost any bit of desire (courage?) to go to a dirty area. No one wants him. Waive him and gain the $1MM in CAP space.

What really ticks me off is us letting Putin Jr. score 3 goals. I do not want him to catch Gretzky. He's the worst example to have an NHL record. If Gretzky was playing the Habs today, at 61, he'd probably get 4 goals.

The whole team wasn't good tonight ... they dressed four rookie blue liners, I got that ... the team is young and are going to have bad games, I got that too ... Washington is a far better team, this is true, but please, don't give up ... the Caps took advantage of just about every turnover the Habs gave them, and there were plenty of them ... IMHO, at one point, it looked as if the team became resigned to their fate, and went into coast mode ... it's not going to be easy with so many young players on the team, but Martin St. Louis has to get a grip on that right away ... as an aside, major respect points for Alex Ovechkin ... great game by a class act ... Cheers. |

I can't tell you what motivates Alex Ovechkin politically, but he has to know what happens to high-profile Russians if they choose not to endorse Putin ... how many oligarchs have been assassinated ... and counting ... it certainly wouldn't surprise me if he's leery about his own safety, should he go public with any criticism of Putin or the war ... if he does support Putin, then I share your disdain ... all that aside, I called him a "class act" on the ice tonight, and he was ... Cheers. |
