I would love to see ylonen on the top line... the kid has the speed and the moves to keep up with Cole and Suze.

Could be a much more Laval centric lineup tonight with Barron and Ylönen already called up and RHP and Pitlick just called up on an emergency basis due to a trio of injuries (see injury thread).

The Jets have been a revelation this season. They are a big team with everyone buying in to a defense first system. And, of course, it does not hurt to have an elite goalie.
Is St. Louis running the hot hand with Montembeault?

I would love to see ylonen on the top line... the kid has the speed and the moves to keep up with Cole and Suze. I agree this would be a very interesting combination.. Ylonen also seems to be responsible defensively, so at least there is someone on that line for that role. Ylonen is not as physically dominating as Armia, so puck protection would not be quite the same but he is SO much faster, that I wonder if that line would be better off. Speed kills and Ylonen has plenty of it. I suspect Suzuki would use the threat of that speed to open up the ice somewhat. The occasional long bomb might force dmen to not close the gap so much. It's certainly worth trying. JY is 6',1'', 190 lbs, so he has decent size. |

I've never seen a team struggle to gain possession in the offensive zone during a PP like this one.
They are completely unable to carry it in and establish with a set pass.
If they shoot it in, they show no hustle to get to it and lose the battle on the boards.
Does Dvorak even want to play hockey for a living? He shows zero interest and energy night after night

If they shoot it in, they show no hustle to get to it and lose the battle on the boards. Does Dvorak even want to play hockey for a living? He shows zero interest and energy night after night I've never seen such a Mike Matheson love fest like I'm seeing on TSN. I don't get it. Are they watching the same game as me? I'm pretty sure I saw Matheson misplay every pass back to him on PP ... |

But, man, this guy is so vanilla. I will not hold the lack of outward expressions emotions against him because that type of a critique can be style over substance. But I have no hesitation saying that his compete level leaves a lot to be desired. I really want Dach to develop as a centre for various reasons. And one of them, to be honest, is that I would like to see Dvorak traded, which may well be what this player actually wants. |
