You knew that was going against Montreal. No one knows what goalie interference is anymore.
Foot in crease, blocking goalie, ... clear cut to me, but not to the yahoos reffing

Kovacevic and Matheson are a terrible pair especially on the pk

Pitlick showing how to lose the puck when having full control of it. It's why he's in the A Unfortunately, at the moment, he's not.

That goal was on Matheson. He was moved off that puck in the corner way too easily. Pound it around the boards I've seen a lot of examples so far, where Florida's player is simply stronger than our guy. The one exception was Staal, who was bullying any Hab checking him, until WiFi took him on. Then Staal got bullied. That's an area HuGo know we need to improve in. Size and strength. It's one reason I haven't been as impressed as others about Kovacevic. I've seen him lose too many battles to attackers. He has merit in other areas, but when you need someone to win a battle one on one, he has trouble doing so.

The front of our net is just a shooting gallery. No one takes a man, everyone has their back turned. Way too easy to be playing in front of our net, no prices being levied. Ugly... and our veterans are the worst

Ugly... and our veterans are the worst Speaking of veterans...there was one play where Florida chipped the puck into the corner. Savard was about 5 yards ahead of anyone, and you could just see the anchor dragging in the ice behind him. He had to be pulling a Zamboni, because he got beaten to the puck by a Panther. So hard to watch that. We spend too much time in our end because our zone exits are awful.

Bennett is rugged enough, but hey man if he wants to run around like some hero up by four goals chirping Matheson about the clean hit on Staal, then the coaches need to unleash Xhekaj or Pezzetta on the Lanny McDonald wannabee. I have a feeling Bennett gets the worse of either of those potential tilts.

This coaching staff misses Richardson Yup. Other than the philosophy and the interaction with players, I'm not impressed with the coaching. Systems are questionable and defensive positioning is not good at all.

Horrible officiating.

Time to find something else to watch. How can we possibly have as many points as we do? This is a bad team. I sure hope that HuGo know more than we do about how the coaching staff is handling things. There are some basics that I just don't see and maybe that's deliberate this year. We don't want to be good. I'd sure like to know, though, that the staff is capable to teaching systems and discipline.
Ahhhhh....I don't what I'm expecting. The overall quality of the roster that is dressed is simply not very good. Today even our young guys aren't doing much.

Maurice got bent over by the refs in Toronto and cried very loudly after the game. So now the refs are giving every Panther more than the benefit of every doubt. Oh well, that sounds about how the NHL works.

My experience is that poor teams always get the worst of the officiating. If you want better reffing, get better yourself.
I've watched part of the Rangers/Bruins game and the Bruins have been the darlings of the league. Montgomery is the heavy favourite for coach of the year; several guys are having career years, blah, blah, blah. The thing I've noticed which does not bode well for them or for Seattle either, is something no one is mentioning. It was the same thing that made Calgary so good last year. They're experiencing incredible stability and no adversity of any kind. Outside of Marchand and MacAvoy who lost games due to injuries from last year, the Bruins have been healthy as hell. So has Seattle. Calgary had almost no injuries last year. But when it really counts and you run into adversity for the first time, you tend to panic, because you haven't been there all year.
Compare that to us, or to Colorado, or any other team that's had injuries requiring line changes, defense pair changes and so on. It's disruptive. You don't execute like you did before, because the guy you expected to be at point X is not that guy and the new guy is at point Y and suddenly you're not a well oiled machine, but you squeak a lot. They'll be in for a surprise at some point, hopefully in April.
