I know it is not fair to judge goalies on really bad teams against goalies on really good teams because the factors working against you are manifold. However, Columbus may be getting a tad bit worried about Merzlikins, considering he is nose-diving with a .875 save percentage in the first year of a long-term deal at $5.4 million per.

Korpisalo has only played 5 games with LA but has off to quite a good start.
I still remember him with that monster playoff game against TB during the lockdown playoffs - stopping 85 shots.
The 2 guys are almost exactly the same age and as an under informed fan, I would have chosen Korpisalo.

I think it was good and well deserved for everyone: Les Boys, the fans, and the TV audience. Lots of laughs all around. Even Gally seemed to be a Habs fan tonight. HP showing his sauce tonight. Said a while ago he reminds me of Marty-lite. Love his work ethic, not shy to go to the dirty areas and the kid can skate and snipe. Will he be a top 6 - I'm not giving up. But he can certainly play on any bottom 6 with his tool kit. Great to see Suze get 4 points. First of many I hope. And Hoff played well. Never seen him pass like that before. Maybe the stick to the face jarred some of the neutrons so their functioning now.  |

Watching the tape. Matheson is looking like Paul Coffey. Whipped past everyone for a clean zone entry, fed Hoffman and drove the net, allowing Hoffman tobwslk right in.

When I saw Rangers had beaten the Panthers, tons of pressure fell off. It was a good day even if we won.
Gallagher looking rejuvenated. Hands off to Ylonen, goes to the net snd provides a screen. He stayed a bit further from the blue paint so maybe he is adjusting. Ylonen scores.
Man, Dach looks like a beast. Very, very reminiscent of Ryan Getzlaff. Anyone else think so?

I was wondering how Habs could get 8 goals without Dach getting a single point. HP sauces hat trick goal…Dach is the 4th guy on the play, but creates all the ensuing space with a great pass to Matheson.
