BC with the weekend sweep over crosstown rival and fellow powerhouse Boston University. Fowler with a 32 save effort in a tight 4-3 victory, while Hutson and Tuch each had an assist in the loss. Fowler was solid again, especially at the end of the game with the BU goalie pulled and Hutson applying tons of pressure and chances.

I hope so, Willie. Goalies are just so hard to project and, even when they progress properly, they are generally about three years older than skaters when they break into the league.
Little X profiles as a center? I did not know he had that type of versatility.

He is looking like a big game goalie, he has Roy's cockiness as well... he will be very popular with Habs fans... He's been centre all year in Brantford I think and he's doing well, he's. 89 ppg, 50% on faceoffs and he's +12...

True SC contenders need a solid 4th line, and a guy who can skate and hit and play a smart game is valuable. If they can chip in the occasional goal, so much the better. Vancouver has Dakota Joshua, who is hardly known outside of Vancouver, but he is exactly what I described above. Very hard worker and can drop the gloves if need be, though more of a middleweight. He's 6'3', 206 lbs. Just a little heavier than Florian and, surprisingly, has 21 points in 47 games. That's 9 more points than Josh Anderson. Joshua has played 6 more games, but those numbers won't change 6 games from now. . If Florian can become that, the pick will have been a good one.

Minute left in 2nd. 2-0 for BC. BU have hit 3 posts and Fowler has been really good. It would be a tie game if not for him. The Smith-Leonard-Perreault line plays really well together. Not unexpected, but you wonder if they’ll take a step back playing on different teams. Smith especially has missed a lot of chances. Seems like Leonard and Perreault drive that line and create the chances. Smith feeds off the chances. Well NYR drafted Perrault and rumor has it Montreal has a second line center available to replace the one the Rangers lost

Well NYR drafted Perrault and rumor has it Montreal has a second line center available to replace the one the Rangers lost In his last 10 games Perrault is 7g 11a and +14... jeebus I have no idea how those three linemates will turn out in the NHL, but I do recall one guy (maybe it was even NWT) who questioned whether Smith was the guy who made that line go. It's an age old conundrum with great lines. Is it chemistry? Is it all three? Or two? Or just one? the Finnish trio of Laine, Aho and Puljujarvi is very true of that. Laine recently entered the NHL support group, most likely because of an alcohol or other drug issue, but otherwise he is very talented and can score like crazy when he's in the right mood. Puljujarvi was the most impressive of the 3 at the WJC but will be the least productive NHL'er of the 3. Aho was the least thought of by scouts and he's turning out to be the most productive. How will that shake out with the Leonard-Smith-Perreault line?

Konyushkov scores his 6th of the season and 25th point of the season, while logging over 25 minutes of ice time today.

Given a huge weekend sweep against the top ranked team in the NCAA full of offensive stars, I would say this was an easy choice.

A little Fowler praise. The Beanpot is fast approaching for the four Boston teams, so he gets right back into the hot seat.
