Is Luke Tuch a late bloomer. Eighteen points in 19 games this year, almost double the pace of last year and he's a 4th year guy. Mind, if he's playing with Celebrini, there might be some participation points in there. If he can skate anything like his brother, there is hope.
Side note: What's with the Capilano Mountain watershed? Bedard and Celebrini both drinking from that source and ending up #1 overall picks. Joe Sakic drank that water too. On the other hand, so did Brendan Gallagher.

The North Sasky River downstream water is nothing to inspire greatness 😆 And Tuch has finally realized he needs to skate and use his body. Much better player this season.

Eriksson seems to making the most of his “demotion” to the Allsvenskan, the men’s second league (so still a very competitive environment for the young prospect).

Bogdan with a goal and a tick over 25 minutes of ice time. That clip showed KHL teams that looked more like juniors. I'm a firm believer in coming to the AHL to develop. If you can't cut it here, rarely will you make it to the NHL.

Eriksson’s goal from Sunday. Allsvenskan is the Swedish version of our AHL, for those who aren't familiar with the term. It's a step down from the top Swedish Hockey League, but is stronger than the Swedish juniours. Seven points in 5 games is encouraging for a 19 year old.

I was just checking out that Monahan deal with the Habs. It's essentially top 20 protected for 2024, so if Calgary finishes in the top 12 teams, Habs can take that pick (sure, sounds wonderful ). The Oilers are sitting in 12th place with 53 points, tied with LA, Detroit and Tampa but having played the fewest games. That's 4 teams, 6 points ahead of Calgary. The Devils, Islanders and Nashville have 51 points. My partisan guess is that Calgary will not be able to climb over all those teams. Assuming that's the case, they keep their 2024 pick and we get their 2025 pick unless it happens to be first overall. Best case scenario is Calgary misses the playoffs by a fair margin in 2025 and finishes bottom 10. Then I take my 90% odds of getting a pretty good pick from 12 to 2. That year is supposed to be a strong draft, but isn't that what they always say? In any case, I can't see Montreal taking Calgary's pick this year. The odds of getting a much better situation in 2025 are high.

I hope they grab the 2025 pick, some strong forwards in the 2 to 10 range including Martone, Misa and McQueen. Looks like the '25 draft will be forward heavy, might be nice if Hugo got '25 picks for our trade deadline pieces

They are the prospectors building up the biggest bunch of slightly above average prospects and trading them at the deadline.

Reinbacher with a board bounce assist. Your analysis is first rate. It, big IF, we end up 7th from the bottom, and we win the lottery and there is a Bedard, not likely, we see how much he did for a weak Chicago team. We need to start winning and not pin our hopes on a savior. Get better, start a winning culture and outwork the opposition. Hoping to win the lottery is not sound financial planning. Work hard and be proud. Skate skate skate shoot shoot shoot dassall.

Recorded the Boston College/ Boston U game and am watching it now. Hutson vs Fowler snd both have been good. Fowler has made 3 excellent close in saves. Hutson drew a penalty and set up good shots.

Hutson displays some of the skill he has, primarily the hockey IQ. He gets pucks in awkward or dangerous situations where any hesitation at all will cause huge problems. But he already knows his next play and executes it perfectly. I saw two examples where a forechecker was right on top of him as the puck arrived and both times he tipped or pushed the puck to a teammate whi had more space and time than Hutson.
Both goalies sparkling. 0-0 score late in first period.

Celebrini beats 2 BC guys in a board battle and sends a pass to Luke Tuch right in the slot and like a good Hab, he rings it off the post.

Minute left in 2nd. 2-0 for BC. BU have hit 3 posts and Fowler has been really good. It would be a tie game if not for him. The Smith-Leonard-Perreault line plays really well together. Not unexpected, but you wonder if they’ll take a step back playing on different teams. Smith especially has missed a lot of chances. Seems like Leonard and Perreault drive that line and create the chances. Smith feeds off the chances.
