Engström assisted on the OT winner in a 1-0 game (the last of the regular season) that clinched Rögle’s berth in the play-ins for the playoffs.

It looks like if Olten loses the Swiss 2nd league playoff game today( they are losing 2 zip), they won't move up, that means Reinbachers team is finished playing (no relegation game) and he can come over and play for Laval
EDit: Olten lost, so they are done and so are Kloten, so Reinbacher can come over.
Edit+: Hockey DB has him at 6'3" and 209lbs... he was drafted at 6'2" and 194lbs...

Guy Lapointe was listed at 6' 185lbs, but I think he was heavier than that. Similar to Struble. Struble plays like 6'3" 220 lbs.

I agree but I wanted to list the above average guys.... what we need is for kova, Matheson and guhle to play heavy, we know the sheriff and the Mailman do, we also need Orville to learn that as well

I know I'm stubborn about this, but I keep excluding Mailloux and Barron from my 'future' line-ups because I don't have enough faith that they'll make it, so that's a fair amount of size that I omit. I'm also not high on Kovacevic (duh), so there's another 220+ lbs removed. My list is
Guhle, Xhekaj, Reinbacher Hutson Struble Engblom
One can fill in the blanks after that and I'm making a big bet on Engstrom, of course. I just checked Rogle's website and he is listed there at 6 2" 190 lbs, which is more in line with what he looks like in highlights. He's not huge, but not a midget either. He's also a great skater, so if you aren't 220+ lbs, you better be able to get to the puck faster than the forechecker.
That's an excellent mobile crew, perhaps lacking a little bit in size. Can we fill the 7-8 spots with some bigger, snottier dmen? Probably, and it's shouldn't cost much, or maybe we can pick one with Winnipeg's pick this year. It's a defense heavy draft.
Worst case scenario, your 7-8 guys are Harris and Mailloux. That's still an excellent D-corps, especially with the continued progress I expect from all of them, really.

Mailman is the 4th highest scoring defenseman in the AHL. Tied for 3rd on the most goals by a defenseman.
Also 3rd highest scoring on the Laval team.
I think Habs management wants him to come up and dominate in order to drown out the usual Karen's about his past.
BTW...we're drowning in hopium that Hutson is our PP saviour...and we may already have him.

Mailloux is having an outstanding season. I am not foreseeing his debut with the Habs until next season, but his campaign in Laval is impressive.
As long as Matheson is a Hab, he will be on the first power play. So really it seems like the power play two scraps could go to Xhekaj, Mailloux or Hutson. From day one, I thought Hutson was a steal considering Montreal got him in the late second round. But I have also always had genuine skepticism about small d-men, Hutson included.
If he makes the team at all on a regular basis next season, I believe the coaches cannot allow him to play as a rover. For me it would not work because the kid cannot skate like Matheson. I get it that Hutson is a smarter hockey player than Matheson, but physical realities are what they are. Until Hutson proves that he can play in all situations like Quinn Hughes, I think the ideal role would be power play specialist with sheltered third pair minutes. The problem is Montreal does not have the cards in place for him to operate in such a role.

Tuch with a goal and assist and Hutson with an assist as BU won to advance to the Hockey East semifinals next weekend.
Fowler and BC also won to advance to the other Hockey East semi.

Beck’s point streak is now up to 17 games with an assist on an OT win on Friday and two apples in a 5-4 loss to Erie yesterday.

Hutson would benefit greatly if we had a disciplined defensive team as well as a reputation of breaking legs if you touch our stars. He wouldn't have to go into a corner with an ape and come out in pieces if we had a winger that could cover deep as well as a few face rearranges that would enforce niceness. Or we go the other way and play run and gun, but our forwards are a ton shy of winning with that style. Hutson is the hardest prospect ever to predict what he will turn out to be. He may be another Hughes...or a AHL lifer.

Kapanen was instrumental in Friday’s Liiga playoff win for KalPa with the GWG and an assist. He is back in action today hoping to wrap up their best of three first round series. Here he is…
Edit: KalPa win 4-2 to sweep their first round series 2-0. Kapanen had the GWG and assist for the second straight playoff game. Great playoff debut for him so far.
